You said the comics aren't anything like Oglaf, thus I inferred they were not anything that Oglaf is. I guess in retrospect it makes sense, the author's view of sex is pretty alien to me, it makes sense that it was from a female perspective.
(Not bashing on women, I'm just saying that I don't understand a lot of female behavior and thought patterns, that's all. Just clarifying).

Assuming that I'm being told the truth, most women these days like chicks. It's the "in" thing to do these days. Personally, it just makes me roll my eyes because in the cases where the woman isn't an open lesbian (who typically are pretty cool people for the most part), it usually corroborates with the women being an attention whore.
My ex GF had a lesbian experience in college, and I could not get her to shut the fuck up about it. Next GF I'm instituting a "No sex story" rule. I won't talk about sex with my ex girlfriends, I don't want to hear about hers. Unless she has a VD, then I would prefer to know well in advance...

Oglaf, like ponies, is better when the jokes have nothing to do with sex Exhibit A.
"But transportation issues are social-justice issues. I hate how the media does things, and I'm a part of the media. I don't really care about bronies or whether or not they're creepy, but this article is pretty biased.
"Bronies, a mashup of "bro" and "ponies."" Seriously, couldn't let anyone figure that out on their own? I mean, when you use "Bro" in your fucking title and then assume nobody gets what a "brony" could possibly be you are a shitty writer, not trying, or attempting to make "bronies" sound even more ridiculous (they don't need any help with that).
I get that the writer is being openly contemptuous/playing it for shock value, but he gets so much shit wrong it's insane. Get somebody who's familiar with the internet/bronies and then have them write about it. Using "Bro" in the title was a bad move, but saying 4chan is full of tech-savvy geeks is just retarded. 4chan is where people post up child porn and tentacle rape. Most respectable computer geeks stay the fuck away from 4chan because they know it's a poisonous place that gives the geeks/nerds an antisocial, creepy reputation.
It bothers me that a Journalist (neigh, TWO Journalists) could fuck up like that. Constantly referring to all bronies as males (seriously, they say "crowd of men" and shit like that instead of "crowd of people" after saying bronies are 25% female) is just incredibly poor reporting. Of course they would refer to the "guy" who wore the best costume, I'm sure if it was a woman they'd have said brony to obfuscate the gender and make her sound male.
They have some interesting quotes and such, but still do their best to portray bronies as losers by doing things like specifically mentioning the guy who runs ED living in his parents house. Weird, they don't say if Jessica Blank lives with her parents or if she's married, I wonder if this is because she has a normal relationship and/or is successful?
It offends me as a professional to see somebody showing why most journalists are hacks. I've written about some pretty stupid shit, but you don't include (or leave out) details just to sway the audience one way or the other.
The article wasn't that bad of a read, but it certainly gives off a "hey, look at all these creepy dudes" vibe instead of a "this is an interesting phenomenon, let's take a look at what happens in it and what's driving it."

I've been trying to catch up on this show, the second season is actually pretty damn good.
You know, for a show about ponies. I enjoyed the Nightmare Night episode quite a bit, and I learned I should accept people even if they're different and that scaring people can be fun!

A marketer generally perceives Soon as a finite, known, yet unspeakable time-interval; to a fan, the interval appears greater, and may in fact approach the infinite, becoming Never. Once the interval has passed, however, a certain time-lensing effect seems to occur, and the time-interval becomes vanishingly small. We therefore see the strange result that the same fragment of spacetime may be observed, in quick succession, as Soon, Never, and All Too Quickly.

I've been a bad member though, I haven't even caught up with all of season 2 yet. I did manage to get the thread onto the wonderful subject of pony bedroom eyes though, so that's a plus. Does everyone have a photobucket (or flickr? Whatever the kids are using these days) full of ponies or something?
That Fluttershy looks too confident for my tastes, almost like a sort of punk-rock Fluttershy. I prefer my lovers ponies to be more tender.
Stahl, you should have added a period so your sig and post would have had the same line length, it's bothering me.

Considering only eight episodes have aired so far, you're not that far behind.Pseudo Stupidity wrote:I've been a bad member though, I haven't even caught up with all of season 2 yet.

I'm happy. My girlfriend noticed that the custom plushies go for a bunch on Ebay, and decided to capitalize on it. I like the work she's done so far, and there are going to be five more just about to be ready. So as to not flood the market, we're listing them once every three days.
Any requests on background ponies for her to make and us to list on Ebay?
