He's all over Seattle 2072, and I haven't seen him on JackPoint before even once. I can at least guess who-is-who on JP, but that character seems a little misplaced, by providing most of the info in the comments.

Peculiar properties of spacetime ensure that the perception of the magnitude of Soon is fluid and dependent, not on an individual's time-reference, but on spatial and cultural location. A marketer generally perceives Soon as a finite, known, yet unspeakable time-interval; to a fan, the interval appears greater, and may in fact approach the infinite, becoming Never. Once the interval has passed, however, a certain time-lensing effect seems to occur, and the time-interval becomes vanishingly small. We therefore see the strange result that the same fragment of spacetime may be observed, in quick succession, as Soon, Never, and All Too Quickly.
huh?Combat Mages see magical auras, granting them the ability to locate magical items, identify spells being prepared, and find the intersections of magic lay where they can recharge their power.

@Korwin:
Game-Mechanics. Not much known about final stuff yet, this may still change.
@Otakusensei:
I don't think they have anything to do with it.

Yeah, that was the dealbreaker for me. Jason's name is not one to sell anything.
[/edit]Apparently, Jason's only on there for licensing purposes and he's not really affiliated with it. But I don't think I coul chance having my heart broken by a game twice.

HOOK IT INTO MY VEINS
For a minute, I used to be "a guy" in the TTRPG "industry". Now I'm just a nobody. For the most part, it's a relief.

Hell, if they just need the 400k to get the license for the Fallout Tactics Engine and to pay people to adapt it to shadowrun, it's money well spent <.<
And they re now at 160k O.o

Fucking. Awesome. I haven't donated yet, but I'd love to be involved in the project, and not just monetarily.

wow there is literally kind of no point to pledge now...

They are over 425k meaning Mac users get the game.
Pledging means basically you get a free game without DRM and some extra stuff.
More money means we will be getting at least german localization.
More money means we might be getting a better level editor too.

However, I think it's important to note that if you pledge you certainly wouldn't get a free game. You'd get a game for the amount of money that you pledged. Assuming of course that the game is completed, which is far from guaranteed considering how early it is in the design stage.

Before I sent any money that way I wanted to be clear on how much involvement CGL had with the project. Hater's gonna hate, right? Harebrained Schemes said that while CGL is "supporting" the project, they won't be working on it.
Good to hear, and it might get me to drop a few bucks in the pot to see where this project goes. It also goes a long way to highlighting that all CGL has at this point is a license to print books. Funny that the folks at Topps don't see or care that another unrelated Shadowrun project can make $400k appear overnight while the meat and potatoes of the line languishes.
Think anyone is scratching their heads on that one yet?

i have been scratching my head at why no shadowrun MMO or at least single/multiplayer game like fallout tactics/syndicate wars was made yet . .

Fallout Tactics was an incredibly buggy game, but yeah I have no idea why no one made a Fallout Tactics Shadowrun full conversion. You could reuse most of the sprites, and the basic mission structure could stay as-is. Every mission you put together a team of runners (like putting together a Fallout Tactics squad), and then you have a mission and a sandbox, have fun.Stahlseele wrote:i have been scratching my head at why no shadowrun MMO or at least single/multiplayer game like fallout tactics/syndicate wars was made yet . .
I would probably play the shit out of such a game.
Dwarf characters don't move as far with their action points while Elves and Trolls move farther. You could implement some batshit characters like a Ghoul, a Free Spirit, and maybe even a vampire. All unlocked after some crazy mission or another - like the bit in Fallout Tactics where you can recruit deathclaws.
Yeah, i would definitely play the shit out of that game.
