The japanese are scary.

Everyone is calling it a mech but it doesn't have real legs. It's just a really fancy looking golf cart with arms. I'll be interested when they have something that can handle stairs.
Oh thank God, finally a thread about how Fighters in D&D suck. This was a long time coming. - Schwarzkopf

So put it on the legs of one of these.

I should really ask about the Whiny Teenaged Boy With Crippling Psychological Issues discount and it's age cut off, though... (all credit for this joke goes to Topless Robot)
Cuz apparently I gotta break this down for you dense motherfuckers- I'm trans feminine nonbinary. My pronouns are they/them.

It doesn't need them with all the disabled access we have these days.

Yes, that's right, wheelchair access is just a dalek conspiracy for mecha-carts to enter public buildings and gun us all down. You heard it hear first (and last).

Peculiar properties of spacetime ensure that the perception of the magnitude of Soon is fluid and dependent, not on an individual's time-reference, but on spatial and cultural location. A marketer generally perceives Soon as a finite, known, yet unspeakable time-interval; to a fan, the interval appears greater, and may in fact approach the infinite, becoming Never. Once the interval has passed, however, a certain time-lensing effect seems to occur, and the time-interval becomes vanishingly small. We therefore see the strange result that the same fragment of spacetime may be observed, in quick succession, as Soon, Never, and All Too Quickly.

...I linked my girlfriend to the Kuratas, and now she wants me to buy her one. I imagine I can't afford it given I'm on the social.

You could conceivably make her one, however.

I assure you that my technical knowledge for this stuff is limited to assembly of basic computers. And even then there are parts I can't actually name. Though at work today we were discussing it, and feel we should get the design and assembly done by the tech students, the wiring and control systems by the clean-tech students, and the programming by the IT students. Pass the work down to them, so that we can drive to school in a mecha to help convince people to take care of the laptops.
