Not on the Internet. My advice: ignorance is bliss.

Swedish woman charged with "disturbing the peace of the dead" for pleasuring herself with human bones. (related gallery is ...well, not nsfw, I suppose, but people might find it creepy)

Seems that the bones were not acquired through any unsavory means, ie, murder or theft, meaning that she probably just bought them, and thought "hey, that's a sexy skull and femur..."

That kind of thing just happens in Sweden.

I refuse to believe that didn't happen in Japan. Last time I was in Sweden, the only woman that would even acknowledge me was actually a Finn. And it was just to mock me. Odd people, those Swedes.

At a summer camp I went to once as a kid, they were just starting to use computers to keep track of students' records, and due to a typo I was listed as being over 1000 years old.

I know her!

My cousin's ex-wife was recently in the hospital after she ran over some guy's foot and hit a bunch of stuff with her car, and said some crazy paranoid stuff to the cop on the scene.

It started with her claiming her boyfriend (not my cousin) switched the chip in her phone so the GPS would get her lost, then culminated with him being Satan and trying to get her pregnant with the Antichrist. While she was in the hospital, she said the nurses were working with him and took out her birth control (and were drugging her?) so he could get her pregnant.

Somehow, she toned that shit down and got released, although my cousin is aiming for full custody and supervised visits. Last week, she was sleeping with both girls in her bed with a knife, to keep everyone safe.

"The Holy Spirit has to reprogram you. If you're not programmed for obedience, it's hard to do so," she teaches. "Once you come out of that world, you're learning what you can do and what you cannot do. With the Holy Spirit, if [you] go to touch that fire, He will quicken you and tell you, 'No.'"
so they are admitting that they are a sect brainwashing their victims officially now?

and it's the holy spirit, not your body/reflexes/experience telling you not to touch the fire?

oy vey . .

A marketer generally perceives Soon as a finite, known, yet unspeakable time-interval; to a fan, the interval appears greater, and may in fact approach the infinite, becoming Never. Once the interval has passed, however, a certain time-lensing effect seems to occur, and the time-interval becomes vanishingly small. We therefore see the strange result that the same fragment of spacetime may be observed, in quick succession, as Soon, Never, and All Too Quickly.

it would not be an invalid claim.
you don't have to be the inventer to claim a patent on something.
else neither apple nor samsung or anybody else in this damn patent war would be able to claim the ownership of patents. because nobody at apple or samsung ever invented the stuff they claim to own the patents on.
especially seeing how corporations are only technically bodies and not persons and a corporation thus can't invent ANYTHING. The people in the corpoation can invent stuff and claim a patent on it, but then they are the holder of the patent, not the corporation.
they could sell the right to the patent to anybody, not just their corporation, but still, if that would invalidate any such claims, the patents would become null and void in an instant again, because the owner of the patent can not claim to have invented it.

that is why legalese has to be forbidden, because it circle jerks itself untill everybody has too much in their eyes to see what's going on anyway . .

Applying for a patent is different from owning a patent. Some countries require that the inventor apply, most (all?) require that the inventor be listed on the application. To my knowledge, zero countries require that a patent be held by the inventor. You can sell patents.

Don't confuse your own ignorance for a flaw in the system. There are plenty of actual flaws without you making up imaginary ones.

Have fun. IBM already patented Patent Trolling, so you're going to have a hard time exploiting your covalent bond patent.

I read the entire thing waiting for when the writer gives in the joke and starts talking about the CSER Enforcement Arm, the agents that will prevent the doomsday scenarios to occurring.

There was no punchline, so I'm forced to believe that is serious news. But then again, if you're funding a center like that, would you mention its enforcers to the general public?
