On the topic of Pathfinder wizardry, how does the Creation variant for the Conjurer hold up? Is it also good, or am I just a chump? Also, what are some good uses for pathfinder's Major and Minor Creation spells?

Minor Creation without material components is a pretty amazing thing. First of all, D&D has Ironwood and shit, so if you want to make something that functions exactly like metal out of 100% vegetable products, you just do. But more importantly, a cubic foot is not a small measurement. A cubic foot is nearly seven and a half gallons. That means that at 8th level you can minor create 478 units of acid or alchemist fire, or 23,936 doses of your favorite plant-based poison. Yes, really.

In fact, Minor Creation is so over the top when you have alchemy and don't have to provide startup components that your DM is quite likely to just not let you do it. I mean seriously, the moment you start reading the output of your calculator and start saying "twenty three thousand..." when describing how much black lotus extract you get, expect the ban hammer.

If you Minor Created vodka or rum or something, how many standard drinks are we talking? Because at that point, fuck adventuring, EVERY DAY IS PARTY DAY.

In those cases, you should probably just say "Okay, this makes a bunch of black lotus, so shall we say that I always have some on hand?"

Because instead of the image of you poisoning more than an entire city with one spell, killing everyone, it's just "okay, any time he wants to poison one dude, he can".

For hard liquor, a pint is ~8 1/2 standard drinks, so a single gallon is ~68 standard drinks.

...so basically, it's over 476 standard drinks, allowing for ten parties of four or five to each get properly shitfaced. From one casting. Nice.

And then if you do it early enough in the day, no hangover!

So, would simple explanations of the failures of pathfinder specific classes be out of place within a summary thread such as this? Like, for example, the Alchemist class and how well it holds under the white-hot scrutiny of the den?

I'd enjoy that. I'm working on something right now, too.
