Happy 2013, Denizens!

From the future! Hope you all had/will have a really good New Year's Eve.

Happy new year, persons from the future.
I still have about 17 minutes of this year left.

Peculiar properties of spacetime ensure that the perception of the magnitude of Soon is fluid and dependent, not on an individual's time-reference, but on spatial and cultural location. A marketer generally perceives Soon as a finite, known, yet unspeakable time-interval; to a fan, the interval appears greater, and may in fact approach the infinite, becoming Never. Once the interval has passed, however, a certain time-lensing effect seems to occur, and the time-interval becomes vanishingly small. We therefore see the strange result that the same fragment of spacetime may be observed, in quick succession, as Soon, Never, and All Too Quickly.

It's been 2013 for 11 hours down here. Happy New Year. Now where are all those doom prophets to make fun of*?

*Putting aside the bit where we didn't hedge our bets and made fun of them right from the start.

Happy new year from the past that is the present in my perspective but from your perspective it's the future, but from the point of view of my pet rock, it's already happend, and from Anikan's point of view, the Jedi are evil.

People say that the way that you spend New Year's Eve is how the rest of your year is going to go.

I sure as fuck hope that this is not true because I'm recovering from a bad cold and in bed, eating fishsticks and watching original Star Trek while playing FLT.

The toll of bad transit policies and worse infrastructure—trains and buses that don’t run well and badly serve low-income neighborhoods, vehicular traffic that pollutes the environment and endangers the lives of cyclists and pedestrians—is borne disproportionately by black and brown communities."

Hmm.. so I'm going to be vaguely disappointed that, while stuff is fun, it's not what I thought I was getting? Eh, it's still a step up (was trying out Dawn of War, which I got from the Humble Bundle. Thought it was going to be a crpg, not an rts.)
Cuz apparently I gotta break this down for you dense motherfuckers- I'm trans feminine nonbinary. My pronouns are they/them.

My dad got drunk(er), started singing Nazi anthems while on the phone, and hit my cat with a knife.

I assume you mean FTL, in which case I played that yesterday, won, and suddenly got immensely fed up with it. Only the perspective of trying out the unlocked ship with the artillery beam is moderately attractive.

We started off the New Year by playing Mini Family and then giving the cats an emergency bath. Happy New Year everyone!

Watching the zombie apocalypse go by is not how I want to spend the New Year.
