The staircase creaks as your foot falls on it. You try to ascend as quietly as possible, but the old timbers groan under your weight. Suddenly one of the stairs flicks as to trigger a switch of some kind. To your surprise, all of the stairs flick downwards! You are now standing on a smooth, steep slope! Try as you might, you cannot keep your balance and you fall down the slope, tumbling head-over-heels. If you wish to use a Levitation Spell, you may fly up and out of danger, to land on the balcony above; otherwise you fall.
(Just like almost everything in Deathtrap Dungeon, it turns the one on the left is the bad one. Looks like we're finally going to have to break down and cast a spell... we have lots of Levitation Spells so we shouldn't even need to use our Magicka Potion. But we don't get the Xbox Achievement for completing the game without using magic.)

Along the balcony are three doors. Will you try:
The door to the left?

The locked door is very strong and made of solid oak. It is unlikely you will break it down, but you may try. Otherwise you could use a Strength Spell to smash it. The lock is copper and you could try using a Copper Key if you have one.
(I assume we use the Copper Key that we have never needed before this.)
The key turns and the door opens.
The room is an elegant bed-chamber, plushly decorated with fine lace and a fur carpet. In the center of the room is a large four-poster bed. Sitting up in the bed, evidently awakened by all the commotion, is a beautiful, sylph-like woman with long dark hair and deep piercing eyes. "What right have you in here?" she screams at you. With those words her eyes turn blood-red and two jets of liquid fire shoot from them directly at you. Will you:
Create a Shielding Spell to protect yourself?
Leave the room quickly and try the next door?
Tell her you have a special gift for her?

You cast your Shielding Spell. Alas and alack, this Spell is ineffective against magical weapons! The jets of fire sear straight through your shield and burn into your own eyes. Screaming in pain you drop to the floor. The curtain of death drops over you.
You have failed in your mission.
I won't count this spell against us, or this death, as if we never made this choice. (But I will add it to our Running Total of Deaths.) Our choices are now to either:
Leave the room quickly and try the next door?
Tell her you have a special gift for her?

She blinks and the jets of fire disappear. What will you offer her?
A Silver Mirror?
A Hairbrush? (We don't have one)
A jar containing a Spider-Man?
If you have none of these, you must make some excuse about losing your gift and go back onto the balcony where you may take either the middle door or the far door.
(We do have some of these. Two, in fact.)

She probably has no reflection in the mirror, so she'd kill us if we give that to her.
So I'd say stab her. Since that is not an option, toss her the spider.

She grimaces as she looks at the ugly little thing, pulling the bedclothes up around her neck.
"What do I want with that?" she exclaims. Again her eyes turn deep red and the jets of fire shoot towards you. Will you cast a Shielding Spell or leave the room and head down the corridor for the middle room?
(Since we know that Shielding gets us fiery death here, I assume we leave.)
You listen at the door and can hear squeaky voices laughing and squabbling. You try the handle and the door opens. Inside is a brightly colored room. A few small beds are in one corner, and strewn about the floor are small mannequins of various brutish creatures. Along the right-hand wall is a large box and just beyond the box is a door. In the center of the floor, and looking up at you quizzically, are three small creatures. They are human-like but have green skin, pointed ears and slit-like eyes. What will your approach be? Will you:
Draw your sword and prepare to fight them?
Look in your pack for something to offer them?
Walk confidently across the room to the far door?

SCREW THIS
NOT WAITING FOR ANOTHER TIEBREAKER
WE KILL THE ORC BABIES NOW
TO SHOW BALTHUS DIRE HOW METAL WE ARE
DESPITE BEING WTFPWNED BY A LEPRECHAUN AND A LADY WITH EVIL EYES
AND GETTING THE SHIT BEATEN OUT OF US BY A GOLEM
AND NEARLY KILLED BY A STAIRCASE
(Ahem. What I meant to say is that I'm saying we fight.)
The little creatures squeal and huddle together as you approach. You run them all through with your sword, but they put up no resistance! You feel a little wary at such an easy battle and make for the door at the far end of the room.
(Manstaff Cockbeard thought that baby Orcs were like Bethesda Children, and were functionally immortal. But more importantly this was Dirk von Facestabber III levels of metal.)
You leave the room and head down a short corridor. Some meters down you find yourself at the foot of a staircase. This is a spiral staircase which leads right into the Citadel Tower. You climb the stairs and eventually arrive on a small landing with two doorways in front of you. Will you take the left-hand door or the right-hand door?
