People should really discuss either AD&D 9-part alignment systems or D&D 3-part systems, because mixing them up is causing some confusion.

The best definition of 3-part alignment is probably this.

There is no good definition of 9-part alignment, because it is fucked six ways from Sunday. This is not to say you couldn't salvage something from it, but none of the actual books ever did.

I am judging the philosophies and decisions you have presented in this thread. The ones I have seen look bad, and also appear to be the fruit of a poisonous tree that has produced only madness and will continue to produce only madness.

believe in one hand and shit in the other and see which ones fills up quicker. it will be the one you are full of, shit.

This is all pretty silly.
Alignments have always been easy to figure out (as long as you agree with how I define them).

Listen I thought it was clear. You are hideously mistaken about so many other things that I assumed at first you were serious. I assume for the sake of sanity you are still joking.

Please un-Poe yourself.

Mistborn, please drop this level of stupidity and resume your normal, slightly less asinine quality of discourse.

Depends. Is he a centaur? Are there stairs?

One casting every six seconds at CL9 gives you a bit more than 40 liters per second, which is comparable to the flow rates of some small, but serious, rocket engines. Six items running at full blast through a well-engineered engine will put you, and something like 50 tons of cargo, into space. Alternatively, if you thrust sideways, you will briefly be a fireball screaming across the sky at mach 14 before you melt from atmospheric friction.

I'm glad no-one ever tried to resolve the four-point alignment spectrum with a Cartesian coordinate plot system.
"So, what's your character's alignment?"
"-1.25 Evil, 6.75 Chaotic."
"Well, don't rescue any puppies or you'll never get into the Abyss."

What if Vecna is secretly using his deific position to destroy the very concept of Evil?
