Cuz apparently I gotta break this down for you dense motherfuckers- I'm trans feminine nonbinary. My pronouns are they/them.

You should gain sanity for finding out that the problems of a region are because there are fucking monsters there.

'Xochitl's sniffing leads her to the southern wall, and to the right-hand lever.

"oh, shiny." Tek croaks, a low caw escaping his throat. "so what's the scavenge on this party? Any reason to think the mummy's the only one coming back?"

"Their lifelines are not over, and will tangle with yours...soon. It is up to you whether that will be the end of it."
'Xochitl pulls both levers, and the wall sinks and rotates, revealing a musty passage to the south. The dread mummy, her two skeletons, and a swarm of undead wasps stalk off into the gloom, lit only by luminiscent fungus on the walls.

Berry sighs. "Cadwyn, are you alright? Kai-" She cuts short when she sees the withered ruin that was the monk. "We'd better get going. I'm going to need time to heal from... whatever that was."
[How big is Berry atm? Also, can she use the Rod of repair while walking?]

Berry trudges over and strips Kai's corpse of his meager belongings and stuffs them in her sorrowful sack (she puts on the snowflake ring). She looks around for something heavy- if there is anything that looks suitable, she pins Kai's corpse with it. Finally she begins using the Rod, and motions Cadwyn to follow her on the way back to Room 00.

Berry continues with her previous actions, her metal skin now covered in shimmering blue patina.

"But, but. It was supposed to be safe this way!" Cadwyn shouts in frustration. He quickly casts Infernal Healing on Madoc, but without using the Cube. "This was my fault. My fault. Not going to do that again."
He begins to rapidly shift form, cycling through a bizarre variety of shapes until he once again becomes a four-armed mutant goblin. But with each shift, a measure of health and vigor seemed to return to him (shifting forms until fully healed). If Madoc is on her feet by this point, Cadwyn will lead her along after Berry. "Thank you for tending to Kai. I was afraid Madoc would touch him, and become the target for those hunters."

"That wouldn't have been fair. Though she seems to be as resilient- if not more so- as any of us." Berry looks down at herself. "This isn't going to be permanent, is it?"

When she spots Berry and Cadwyn (as opposed to just the glow off Berry's tattoos), 'Xochitl's eyes flare more brightly, and she slows to a stop.
"Strange. When I smelled a betrayal coming, I did not think it would look like this. I liked those fellows, you know. The wizard was helpful, but not stupid enough to blindly follow my suggestions. Kai was a do-gooder who actually had some manners. And you killed them for treasure they would have used on your behalf anyways?"
She clicks her tongue, silently commanding the skeletons to interpose themselves if either of the people ahead launch an attack at her.
"Bad form. Very bad form, my friends."

"What you smell is the putrefying remains of their reanimated corpses... which we had to fight after they died in unrelated accidents." Berry's faceplates rearrange in what is probably a scowl. "Been having fun while we were gone?"

"Oh, I'd say so. Finished off one paladin, left the other one wounded with her buddy taken away, scrambling into the dark to save herself. It should make for a nicely dramatic showdown when we run into each other again. She doesn't know for sure what I did with him, so I hope she demands that info to start. I'll even give her a chance to save his soul if she plays her cards right. And I think I scoped out a local evil that doesn't play by the 'don't be a dick' style of villainy to boot. Be a good target once I've taken care of my next few errands."
Xil smiles slowly.
"If you really didn't stab Archie or Kai in the back until they took a trap to the face and went after your brains, surely you kept a recognizable piece of them for when we finally run into a cleric we can trust. Show me. I climbed down into the Chasm of Death just to retrieve a minion's skull, so surely you did the same if you had any intention of reviving them before their souls got devoured. Or did they get bathed in supercorrosive fungal spores too?"

"Master Archibald was blasted into a boneless sack of jelly by an explosion, which nevertheless found a way to attack me. It was destroyed by both a virulent plague from my dagger and... being stepped on." Berry taps a finger on her chin with a clink. "Kai was reduced to a husk by a blast of chaos energy. I left his body pinned under some rubble in the Giftgiver's Hall, in case the departed decided to get rowdy. And of course when I examined him, I got cursed by these tattoos." Berry does a quick jump and spinning chop thing. "Seems to be more blessing than curse so far. At least until the lynch mob shows up."
