Speaking of blowjob assassins, CoroCoro has released a metric shit-ton of new info on Pokémon X/Y. Of course, it's all in Japanese, so I can't read one jot of it. Which is why serebii.net exists: To translate things from not-American to American. I now feel compelled to share it, whether you like or not...

It revealed the name of the new region (the Karos Region, which is apparently based on France. No word yet if there are 25 level lich wizards or not.) Four new Pokemon were also revealed, spoilered below:

Yayakoma
Type: Normal/Flying
Species: Japanese Robin Pokémon

All of this is getting me excited in ways I don't understand about the new games.

Am I the only one who hates Normal/whatever if the whatever isn't flying? It just doesn't fit - if it's Normal, it shouldn't get a second type (with the one mentioned exception).

I, myself, never understood why almost all Flying types even needed the normal type. Why couldn't they just be Flying type? Or even the Bird type?

The bird type would need to be separate from the flying type (I don't think things like Charizard, Dragonite or Gyarados would work as a "bird" type) which would be superfluous. And I like the fact that they kept flying (at least until the last generation) as a secondary type as opposed to other things.

I think it's dumb that Flying has to be Flying/X unless it's Flying Arceus. All birds therefore suffer neutral Fighting hits and are immune to Ghost because fuck you that's why.

Then all the rest of the Flying things tend to end up with some kind of x4 weakness.

Can't wait til I get home and can see the screenshots.

Edit: before you Shift Gears, what's Genesect's ATT like?

Its Base Attack (and Special Attack) is 120.

Its Base Defenses are each 95, its Base Speed 99, and its Base HP 71.

It also has Download.

The only game in which the player character is explicitly stated to be 10 years old is in Red/Blue. The PC of Gold/Silver/Crystal may be around that age, but it's speculative.

Gen III onwards, the PC's are definitely older than 10.

Moar X/Y news!

Nintendo has revealed the English names of the shit from CoroCoro:

Gogoat (the goat that can be ridden) is still Gogoat. Elikiteru (that weird ass lizard thing) will be known as Helioptile. Yayakoma (the robin) will be known as Fletchling and Yancham (the panda) will be known as Pancham.

The region is going to be Kalos. One of the cities, Miare City, shall be called Lumiose City.

Also, Nintendo has revealed that at some point in the game you'll be able to get new outfits and accessories to customize the character with!

Hopefully, said outfits and accessories will not be useable only in those stupid-ass contests.

I believe it may have been stated in the instruction booklet.

At least, I think it was. Keep in mind this was almost twenty years ago...
