So, here's something important for me to know- I thought I was bringing in all of my girls, not splitting them. Which is the case?
Cuz apparently I gotta break this down for you dense motherfuckers- I'm trans feminine nonbinary. My pronouns are they/them.

You should gain sanity for finding out that the problems of a region are because there are fucking monsters there.

{It was my understanding you were bringing in only the former temple prostitutes that were performing, not the whole retinue of 10. If you did want to bring all 10 with you into the house itself, my bad. However, that would still leave everyone else's slaves and animals in the courtyard where y'all left them.}
(I'd planned on it yeah, since I'd intended that they were all former temple prostitutes, since that's kind of the standard early life of Stygian women, to my understanding. I suppose it could be kind of a difference between "worked for temple and learned sexual skills there" and "stayed on as a prostitute"...)

"Let's just check the courtyard before splitting up. Maybe we'll get lucky. Or maybe we'll need everyone in order to fight our way out. I for one though do not plan on leaving all my possessions here."
Velasco moves to the door and opens it slightly, looking out on the courtyard to see how many guards are left. (I'll try to do this with some amount of stealth but I'm not sure how you disguise sticking your head out a door.)

Isandro takes this opportunity to slip on his shield and helmet.
(BTW, mind if I retcon my shield into being a serrated Stygian scarab shield? I had never noticed scarab shields before but I have enough spare chargen cash to cover the upgrade. Defensively, it's the same as my current shield, except you don't get any DR to flanking attacks when it's worn on your back. In exchange it looks bad ass and has sharp bits for when you bash fools in the face.)

Very well. The stairwell just got more crowded. And sexier.(I'd planned on it yeah, since I'd intended that they were all former temple prostitutes, since that's kind of the standard early life of Stygian women, to my understanding. Velasco can only see four guards in the courtyard at the moment. There are thumps on the trap door up above, and lots of shouting throughout the house.Velasco moves to the door and opens it slightly, looking out on the courtyard to see how many guards are left. (I'll try to do this with some amount of stealth but I'm not sure how you disguise sticking your head out a door.)

(OK, how about Taotie, Velasco, and Isandro rush the guards, Neb runs to the house door and lights the smoke powder either with a light source there or if necessary the flame powder, the girls who aren't herding Nekka push the unattached chariot in the courtyard over to the door, and Kamoses treats the poison, since it could be several saves in rapid succession and can straight up kill you if left untreated?)

(Well, here's hoping Velasco's heads-up nets us a surprise round.)
Isandro instructs one of the women to throw the door wide open on his mark, at which point he'll charge a guard if possible. If he can't reach a guard through charge or normal movement he'll move out as far as possible and read an action to meet a guard's approach. He'll put two points into combat expertise regardless.

"Just wait a moment, Karlus. It should not take too long." Kamoses ushers Karlus to sit against the wall, and pulls out his herbalists kit, beginning to work up an antidote to snake venom. If the venom affects the stomach or intestines (seemingly unlikely), Kamoses will perform the ritual of Th'mumathph or Qebsneuef (DC 18), respectively for the +1 on the check.

In the Courtyard
At Isandro's command, one of the slave-women throws open the door. Taotie, Velasco, and Isandro rush out with weapons bared; the guardsmen seem surprised and slow to react to this new threat; two of them fall under Taotie's blows and Isandro's blade, while the third barely dodges Velasco's blade, and the fourth grips his spear and gives the alarm.
"To arms! To arms! They are in the courtyard!"
Neb rushes to the door, lighting the smoke powder, while the remainder of the women follow close behind, shrieking, guiding the lumbering, still-dazed Nekka along with them toward the empty chariot and palanquin.
In the stairwell, angry thumps rattle the trap door, causing dust to drift down from above, but the thick crossbar holds firm. Kamose mumbles prayers to set and crumbles hippopotamus dung into Karlus' wound, which seems to negate the venom - however, the Stygian does not have time to treat his own injury, and feels the venom wrack his form (-4 Strength).

Kamoses leans heavily against the wall, sliding down to sit, preparing to use Chill of the Grave if attacked.
