Is the water glowing into the red chamber at all?
Then, once you have absorbed the lesson, that your so-called "friends" are nothing but meat sacks flopping around in the fashion of an outgassing corpse, pile all of your dice and pencils and graph-paper in the corner and SET THEM ON FIRE. Weep meaningless tears.

Might as well peek into the red door as well.

Let's pull another chain. I vote at random, because what's the worst that can happen? (Aside from death, dismemberment, and facemelting pain of course.)

I think AH is mixing red and orange colors, because there should only be two doors open at all; the orange and blue ones.Ravengm wrote:Might as well peek into the red door as well.
I vote for pulling the handle more to open the orange door, making certain we don't stand in front of it at all.

How do you confuse a barbarian?
Put a greatsword a maul and a greataxe in a room and ask them to take their pick

So let's pull random handles. I doubt indecision helps.

Meh, I'm more for pulling the red one a bit more.

Your team pulls the red handle down a few more links, and the orange door opens wider - it is now halfway open. The Pterran says that the pits are filling up with water, and in a few more minutes will reach the top.
Do you:
Pull the red chain some more?
Pull the blue chain some more?
Pull another chain?
Crawl through the half-open red door?

I say pull the red handle all the way and a couple random trap door handles (no white or blue) with rope to delay the water filling.

We've been in this room too long, I feel. Anyone (not me) wanna volunteer to scout?

I'm okay with that, but I'm not volunteering Dac to scout.

Let's send the poncy elf fighter. No one likes poncy elf fighters.

Having drawn the short straw, and with the frogs and snakes only a little ways from the level of the floor, Labaralabanabel stoops under the orange door to scout ahead. He shouts back his description.
"The dimensions are the same as the other rooms. The floor and ceiling are full of small holes, in a perfect grid; the water is flowing through it. There is a single door...it is marked with a crown. There is a small gold statue in the middle of the floor, in the shape of a seated dwarf with an open mouth. The walls are painted with images of flames...there is some writing here, but I cannot read the dwarf runes."
Labby only stands at the entrance of the room. Do you:
Have him walk further in, perhaps searching for hidden doors?
Have him leave back the way he came?
Join him in the orange room?
Pull the red lever?
Pull the blue lever?
Pull another lever?

Have him walk further in, searching for hidden doors/traps. Let's simultaneously have someone pull the gray and black handles with rope to avoid the trap door opening.

I think the dwarf statue wants a gold piece - anyone have a spare? I can't remember if I do or not, and besides it'd probably be heresy if I did it.

The wizard has a free gold piece. So let's let the fighter see if we're right.

Tuftwick poncefellow flips Labby a gold piece, and the poncy elf fighter wanders farther in the room, ears pricked as he walks the circumference. He cannot find any hidden doors.
On pulling the grey wood handle, a new trap door opens. However, on pulling the black handle, the orange door slams shut, the blue door opens wide, and water begins pouring into the room. With the new trap door open, this will buy you a minute or two, but the sheer volume of water will soon fill the room.
Do you:
Pull the red handle again?
Pull another handle?
Try to swim against the current and out the blue door?
Have Labby place the gold piece in the mouth of the statue?
...or something else?

Have Labby place the gold piece in the statue's mouth and suggest everyone else get close to Dac for him to use another dimensional door into the orange room if nothing dangerous happens.

Labby places the gold piece in the statue's open mouth. The statue closes its mouth, and with a clunk the orange door opens. Water pours into the orange room and flows down the holes in the floor, but the way is clear. From above, Labby can feel air blowing from the holes in the ceiling, and from somewhere in the wall comes the sound of ticking.
Do you:
Rush into the orange room with Labby?
Have Labby fiddle with the statue?
Wait to see what happens?

That can't be good. I think Labby should get out and all of us get a tree between us and the orange room while at least one person pulls the white handle (with a rope if there was a trap door below)

Damn, I was almost sure that the gold piece would open the crown-marked door in the orange room. Well, at least we're not completely boned yet. I vote for Labby grabbing the statue and then rushing back to the room. How do we get a tree between us, though? And er, I think there are still snakes and shit being carried out of one of the traps due to the rising water, so we should probably do something about that.
