[nWoD] Blood & Smoke aka V:tR2.0
Apparently not a campaign, but a full-blown overhaul of V:tR in crunch and fluff. Not that OPP made it clear in their annoucements, for whatever reasons. No KS for this was a surprise too.

Yes, Blood and Smoke is part of the new new world of darkness. Unfortunately, no one involved seems to know what the fuck they are doing or have any idea why nWoD was bad in mechanics and flavor. So shit changes, but the important shit doesn't get fixed. The combat system is still ass, there's still no presented reason you'd want to interact with their proposed supernatural society instead of just leaving town, etc.
Onyx Path is happy to take your money, but they can't actually solve any of the problems with any of the lines. They lack the talent or the inclination to even try.

For posterity's sake I'd like a link to these playtest documents if reasonably possible.
I have no reason to doubt you, but I might otherwise one day be gaming with otherwise sane people who think they do, in fact, have such reason.

And here I thought they were finally fulfilling Requiem's destiny and fully go the Monsterhearts route to have a game to go with their Vampire Romance novels.
At least that'd justify nVampire's existence.

Is it just me or is "The Strix Chronicle" on that cover *completely* unreadable?
I mean, I've tried over several days and various states of intoxication just to be sure, but it looks like shit.
Also, with Vampire The Requiem logo, WHO THE FUCK PUTS RED TEXT ON A RED BACKGROUND. I'M NOT EVEN IN GRAPHIC DESIGN AND I KNOW BETTER THAN THIS. A BRAIN-DAMAGED CHIMP WITH DYSENTERY WOULD KNOW BETTER.
*Ahem* sorry, had to get that out.

So this is the "brilliance" of one of the main themes of the reboot from the RPG.net thread:
Everything old is new again.
Which, if you'll pardon me, has ALWAYS been a fucking theme for Vampire in any incarnation. And we had a faction of vampires that dug the monster hungry side of themselves and grokked the monster: They're called Sabbat.RPG.net wrote:The Strix are the gore-soaked, possessed-corpse vampires of folklore. The Kindred are the slick and sexy vampires of pop culture. But that grisly, hungry thing is inside every vampire, and just maybe it's like the rest of us. Maybe it wants friends.
That conflict... or the sickening places it's not a conflict... are great material for Vampire.
Everything old is new again.
I'm starting to think I could write a Monster High rpg and produce a better gothic horror game than WW/OPP...
Cuz apparently I gotta break this down for you dense motherfuckers- I'm trans feminine nonbinary. My pronouns are they/them.

You should gain sanity for finding out that the problems of a region are because there are fucking monsters there.
Not quite what I meant
