And the music is great too! Here's some of the core puns that make up Kill la Kill's fashion fascist setting:

Fashion ファッション Fashhon

Kill/Cut キル Kiru
To wear (clothes) 着る Kiru

Sailor Uniform 制服 Seifuku

Our Home Fox Deity has aquired a female character who thinks she's in a harem anime. It's pretty great, because the guy she has a crush on is living with a Shrine Maiden and a Kitsune disguised as a hot blonde, who are uninterested and above petty human concepts of gender ("Why did you turn into a guy just now?" "No reason"), respectively.

In Fate Zero, Caster saw Sabre and made the same mistake I did when I first watched Fate Stay Night. Unlike me, he is a murderous bastard that refuses to acknowledge he was wrong despite repeated corrections from Sabre. Seeing what actual wizards can do when they fight each other has been pretty awesome as well. Kiritsugu's knot-cutting was good, and another character's mercury elemental makes me want one next time I play D&D.

I think I'm an episode behind on Kill la Kill, but the previous two episodes were a lot of fun. It's sad that the Elite Four only seem to exist to show just how powerful some of the other characters are, but giving them a chance to cut loose in the field trip episodes really helped with that narrative role.

Saw Welcome To The Space Show in thetres. Extremely soft sci-fi, fairly lighthearted and fun but non-spectacular.

Ghost in the shell ARISE is cool, the music is by Cornelius, which I greatly enjoy.

A marketer generally perceives Soon as a finite, known, yet unspeakable time-interval; to a fan, the interval appears greater, and may in fact approach the infinite, becoming Never. Once the interval has passed, however, a certain time-lensing effect seems to occur, and the time-interval becomes vanishingly small. We therefore see the strange result that the same fragment of spacetime may be observed, in quick succession, as Soon, Never, and All Too Quickly.

So there's this new one called Robot Girls Z, which appears to be part of the internet's campaign to tell me to watch Mazinger already.

Saw The Wind Rises in theaters just now. It's a tribute to the life and love of aircraft of a man who made his dream a reality by designing Japan's carrier fighter... in the 1930's. It's, uh, a bit depressing in parts.

Also, came back to learn Frozen beat it out for Best Animated Feature Film.

I don't mind, like Gundam Unicorn they deliver really high quality per episode and 3d CG that isn't jarring.

I've watched Magical Warfare intermittently. It's kind of... I want to slap this setting out of their hands and give it to someone else. I am totally up for the actual magical fighting portion, but there's a lot of screentime devoted to really terrible love-triangle bullshit and both sides being total assholes.

The thing with the love triangle is that it's played for serious drama, but it's too stupid to take seriously. Like, for DRAMATIC BACKSTORY REASONS the main character is fake-dating a pretty girl, but she wants to date him for real, but he is an idiot and thinks they should stop fake-dating so she can really date other people, and she's also feeling possessive because he's helping this other girl for reasons which are clearly non-romantic on his part. And there are stupid and easily explainable misunderstandings, and none of this is a joke.

As for both sides being assholes, well...
Okay, so the Ghost Trailers are introduced as the bad guys, and this seems to be borne out by how they used memory manipulation and mind control to recruit a guy. But then our vaguely goodish guys, Wizard Brace, do exactly the same thing to some Ghost Trailer guys they captured. Then, to make things worse, they totally just hand the mind-wiped guys back, so apparently that was just to be assholes.

Also, it turns out that Wizard Brace went around executing every mage who wasn't a member, and they murdered the entire family of the Ghost Trailer leader because he refused to join up. However, the Ghost Trailers are all terrible people. So it's honestly pretty hard to care which side actually wins, because I'm not altogether convinced they're even different degrees of terrible.

Finished Maoyu, thought it was pretty good light fare. Now working on A Certain Magical Index while inflicting Code Geass on my brother and interspersing Baccano in-between.

I know it is ancient, but Tenchi Muyo is somthing I finally got around to watching. I have all of the releases, the original OVAs, Tenchi in tokyo, Tenchi tv series, Tenchi Muyo GXP, and the 4 movies. Its pretty decent except for the annoyingly bad harem elements, but they don't turn up often enough to ruin the show.
In other things, Shikabane Hime is still awesome, and I'm watching that one again.
Peace favour your sword.

I only play 3.x

Speaking of ancient, YuYu Hakusho might be one of the few anime I'd want to buy seasons of.
He jumps like a damned dragoon, and charges into battle fighting rather insane monsters with little more than his bare hands and rather nasty spell effects conjured up solely through knowledge and the local plantlife. He unerringly knows where his goal lies, he breathes underwater and is untroubled by space travel, seems to have no limits to his actual endurance and favors killing his enemies by driving both boots square into their skull. His agility is unmatched, and his strength legendary, able to fling about a turtle shell big enough to contain a man with enough force to barrel down a near endless path of unfortunates.

--The horror of Mario

Zak S, Zak Smith, Dndwithpornstars, Zak Sabbath. He is a terrible person and a hack at writing and art. His cultural contributions are less than Justin Bieber's, and he's a shitmuffin. Go go gadget Googlebomb!

so, sakura trick ended.
the ending was a bit meh.

seitokai yakuindomo will end with the next episode as well . .
such a pity that, i love that series ._.

seems as if this anime season is pretty much done, seeing how most series seem to end on either 12 or 13 episodes?

anybody seen hints of what is yet to come in the next season?

Best anime I've seen lately is Space Battleship Yamato 2199. I'm still geeking out over it.

I love the hell out of that show, except that it's way too fanservicey. Including a lot more women in the crew was a great update, but basically all the points they get for that... they lose again for putting those women in inexplicable latex spacesuits and pointing the camera at their asses all the time.

I am definitely tjecking it out then. Fan service (in the traditional "bosoms and buttocks" sense) is a dying "genre" in anime (the reason simply being low sales, so the free market has spoken and few people want that). I'll take what I can get.

On the plus side, Yuyushiki and Sakura Trick seem to suggest the possibility that light yuri is the new form of fan-service. I'm okay with this.

Sakura Trick seemed like it had a decent amount of traditional fan-service, it's not blatant about it but it's there.

it was also kind of mediocre, aside from it being blatant yuri and not afraid to actually show it . .
i also watched the 13th episode of seitokai yakuindomo just now and am so so sad that it's ending q.q
the ending looked a bit as if there might be some more to "come" though *snickers* sorry, i could not help myself with that series and that pun ^^

So on Tumblr, I've been seeing pics of an anime with a protagonist in the usual schoolgirl outfit, except her outfit is possessed and looks like it has eyes on her chest or something?

Anyone recognize the anime from my shitty description and know its name?
Cuz apparently I gotta break this down for you dense motherfuckers- I'm trans feminine nonbinary. My pronouns are they/them.

Kill la Kill, assuming that this is the girl with the outfit you mintioned.

Final episode (24) just came out.. last week I think, or the week before. I definitely recommend it.
