From my commie pinko yet Americentric point of view the grunts really felt like a jab at the gullible and people who were born on third and thought they had hit a triple in particular--you know, trust fund babies and legacy kids, that sort of thing. Team Flare grunts didn't seem to have any clear sense of purposes and frankly many of their comments make it unclear if they even had any idea what the hell they were doing. They were just some dipshits who were aimless enough to join an exclusive club of the "best and the beautiful" even though the only criteria for membership was the willingness and ability to donate Lysandre a fuck ton of money.

They seemed to have clear purpose to me, and they were stylish. Every time they turned up, they had a mission and were following it until I wrecked their shit. Honestly, it did seem like a get happy club, but if it were too realisitic in representing fascism, nazis, and the like, then it wouldn't be a kids game anymore.

I have no idea why my code isn't working, but if anyone wants a Drought Vulpix I'm just going to put a hole bunch onto the 5th gen (black/white) GTS tomorrow at 2 pm pacific. If you have to trade a >lvl10 patrat for it, it is probably mine.

Today has been a great day; I got a Phione offa the GTS, and it had PokeRus!

What's not so great is that you cannot trade event legendaries on the GTS in Gen VI (and yet people still ask for them).

However, in Gen V, you can trade them, so I looked for a Mew. Except everyone who had one was asking for things like Lv. >9 Zekrom or such. Or maybe I'm missing something since I'm still rather new to using the GTS. Hm. I wonder...

Oh, well.

Did you know that Pokerus is the Pokemon version of aids?
I quarantine all pokemon with the disease. I suspect that a lvl <9 zekrom is a dreamworld thing.

Uh... it's wholly beneficial, it runs its course and then leaves you immune instead of dead, and it spreads just by being near them - you don't even have to get them to go halves on a poffin/pokeblock to transmit it.

Come to think of it, it's possible that if you leave an infected and an uninfected at the daycare centre, they won't transmit it to each other (meaning it's specifically not sexually transmitted, indeed sexual intercourse protects you from it) and the egg won't hatch with it.

So far the only thing that makes it like AIDS is "it's a disease that spreads".

PokeRus is a mutualistic virus, meaning both host and virus benefit. The PokeRus virus benefits by getting a place to live a chill out, and the host benefits by gaining double EV's from battling. It's an extremely good thing to have, and there are absolutely zero negative side-effects.

As for spreading, the only way to infect other Pokemon with it is by having the infected Pokemon in question in the main party during a battle. It tends to last from 1 to 4 days, after which the infection goes away. However, the beneficial effect of gaining double EV's is still retained. You can extend the amount of time PokeRus lasts by keeping them boxed in the PC.

Downsides to Pokerus:
-Looks hideous on the report screen.
-Messes up my already finished ev math for ev training my pokemon in under 30 minutes.

Seriously? That's a downside? It's such a fucking minor thing that I can't believe it matters at all. Besides, it goes away after a few days, after which the PokeRus status icon is replaced with a tiny smiley face that isn't nearly as noticeable.

By Zeus's great thundery testicles, this is not only false on so many levels, it is one of the stupidest things I have ever read. Do you even know what AIDS is? If not, here are some helpful links to edify you.

(And yes, technically, you meant HIV, the actual virus. AIDS is the end result of having HIV (well, technically death is, I suppose), an inevitable thing that is bound to happen once you have HIV. The only inevitable result of having Pokerus is "having your EVs maxed out", which actually happens regardless.)

See, I finally found my Action Replay for the GBA, and, after much searching of the internets, found a code for Emerald that would take the player to Faraway Island, the place where Mew can be fought and caught. So now all I need to do is use a dual slot DS to Pal Park it to SoulSilver, and then use the Poké Transfer to bring it to White2, and then use the Poké Transporter to finally get it into Y.

No, this won't be a complicated process at all.

edit: One not-very-much-so-a-good thing is that the internal battery in my copy of Emerald is dry. Sadness.

Actually, I'm just pissed that they made so much progress with the heart gold menus and interface, and then just threw it all away for stupid shit shit shit face. damn am I pissed again from just hingking about it.

Also, the dreamworld and the mini games on the touch screen could have easily been something that you open.

TL;DR Heartgold had best interface.
