Ah, I mistook the back for the front because I assumed that the grey and black thing was an inlet cone.

Yes, you really don't want to be sucked into a jet engine. Not pleasant at all. Usually lethal.

Peculiar properties of spacetime ensure that the perception of the magnitude of Soon is fluid and dependent, not on an individual's time-reference, but on spatial and cultural location. A marketer generally perceives Soon as a finite, known, yet unspeakable time-interval; to a fan, the interval appears greater, and may in fact approach the infinite, becoming Never. Once the interval has passed, however, a certain time-lensing effect seems to occur, and the time-interval becomes vanishingly small. We therefore see the strange result that the same fragment of spacetime may be observed, in quick succession, as Soon, Never, and All Too Quickly.

That is the link, although following that hotlink gets me a 403 error. It will show the image if you copy-paste it into the browser.

For Birds, stuff is not nearly as scary as it is for us appearantly.
They perceive stuff way slower than we do. You kinda need that when you hurtle through the air at literally break neck speeds with your head ahead.

though i will give it one thing: it has understood that to be lazy successfully, you have to have a certain level of smarts at least.

That's kind of a shitty gif, cutting off just as it starts to jump, giving the impression that couple seconds of setting up is in any way odd.
