Today I found out that the "S.T.A.L.K.E.R." series of games.... is based on a film ("Stalker" based on a book "Roadside Picnic") that predates the Chernobyl incident by about a decade.
The original; Roadside Picnic seems to use a lot of the ways people on TGD thought about solving the "Pts of Light" &/or "Pts of Darkness" issues used in fantasy heartbreakers like D&D 4e.
