Koumei: and if I wanted that, I'd take some mescaline and run into the park after watching a documentary about wasps.
PhoneLobster: DM : Mr Monkey doesn't like it. Eldritch : Mr Monkey can do what he is god damn told.
MGuy: The point is to normalize 'my' point of view. How the fuck do you think civil rights occurred? You think things got this way because people sat down and fucking waited for public opinion to change?

Peculiar properties of spacetime ensure that the perception of the magnitude of Soon is fluid and dependent, not on an individual's time-reference, but on spatial and cultural location. A marketer generally perceives Soon as a finite, known, yet unspeakable time-interval; to a fan, the interval appears greater, and may in fact approach the infinite, becoming Never. Once the interval has passed, however, a certain time-lensing effect seems to occur, and the time-interval becomes vanishingly small. We therefore see the strange result that the same fragment of spacetime may be observed, in quick succession, as Soon, Never, and All Too Quickly.

It's a few weeks old, and you've probably already seen it, but I'm still enjoying King Vader's Cowboy Bebop:

Apparently his videos are well-known characters dancing while doing their thing? It fits with Cowboy Bebop.

"But transportation issues are social-justice issues. The toll of bad transit policies and worse infrastructure—trains and buses that don’t run well and badly serve low-income neighborhoods, vehicular traffic that pollutes the environment and endangers the lives of cyclists and pedestrians—is borne disproportionately by black and brown communities."
My favorites are still the Power Rangers and Naurto ones.Iduno wrote:It's a few weeks old, and you've probably already seen it, but I'm still enjoying King Vader's Cowboy Bebop:

Been watching a lot of MovieBob lately.
Shrapnel (and most of the Gen Xers here) might be interested into the deep-dive he does into the G1 Transformers Movie:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_9iab0z6Kyg
and his related aside about Orson Welles's voice work as Unicron:

Welles had some interesting things to say about the movie:
And then he died.Orson Welles wrote:You know what I did this morning? I played the voice of a toy. Some terrible robot toys from Japan that changed from one thing to another. The Japanese have funded a full-length animated cartoon about the doings of these toys, which is all bad outer-space stuff. I play a planet. I menace somebody called Something-or-other. Then I'm destroyed. My plan to destroy Whoever-it-is is thwarted and I tear myself apart on the screen.
Is this wretched demi-bee
Half asleep upon my knee
Some freak from a menagerie?
No! It's Eric, the half a bee

Imagine if the gaming den was a professional engineer who was fixated on bicycle bottom brackets instead of on tabletop roleplaying games:

(a lot of tech and math talk dense, or you can just skip to the heavy profanity lobbed at most of the bike industry around the 32 minute mark)

Thanks for that link. My brother and his wife really like rap. They also are having a baby in June-ish. Instead of prepping for the baby by reading parenting books, I think they should be working on their kid-book reading skills. It will serve them better.
My son makes me laugh. Maybe he'll make you laugh, too.
