Fuck that Hebrew noise, you're looking at 4 drumsticks per flightless bird there.
That's good economics. And eat'ns.

The concept of humans or humanoids feasting on little live critters would make for a very effective RPG flavor for, say, Dragonfolk or Tieflings.

Screw social penalty modifiers, they eat their snacks raw and wriggling.

Tiefling: "OK, lunch break. This dungeon was brutal."
Human: "Fine by me. I have iron rations, a leg of lamb, some wine. What did you bring?"
Elf: "The usual. Honey, leaf-wrapped Magical Elf Bread, some spring water..."
Tiefling: *begins popping bloodied, squirming baby mice down and chasing it with a brackish concoction of brine shrimp, beetles, and blood.*
Human and Elf lose their lunches.
that's fucking hilarious...
Cuz apparently I gotta break this down for you dense motherfuckers- I'm trans feminine nonbinary. My pronouns are they/them.

You should gain sanity for finding out that the problems of a region are because there are fucking monsters there.

You know how hard it would be keeping a pocket full of bloodied mice alive on a trek?

That's a valid point. Mice have a tendency to die for any or no reason at all - they might just feel like it.

.... a issue we try to resolve far too many times.
They are fed, kept on soft tissues in a pair, safe and warm.. and every now and then end up dead before being fed to the boa.
Literally, 2 hours after being bought.

Also, they suffocate easily, as my girlfriend found out accidentally with a plastic bag, as it snuggled into a corner of it and ran out of air quickly.
I gave 2 others brain damage by leaving them in the bag for too long.

So, yeah, one would have to resort to some kind of minor chronomancy to store live snacks for long trips.
Sequester does the trick but not until L14. Perhaps a level 1 version for hand-held vermin could be adapted?

Ignoring the rest of this thread:

Dr Tim's 8-circuit model plays into that sort of thing nicely:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/8-Circuit_ ... sciousness

complete with associated drugs for each circuit.

Combine it with a little deconstruction as to what sort of moral the mythical monster was used to illustrate in the source myths and off you go.
