It’s the only way to be sure that the rest of the country doesn’t descend into fascism like Pennsylvania did tonight. Not only did it decide to send the orange convict back into power, but it also ousted Matt Cartwright in the House for a scam artist and kicked out Bob Casey in the Senate for a Mitch McConnell stooge.

I honestly thought that Pennsylvania learned its lesson when it voted for Biden in 2020 and for John Fetterman in 2022. But no, it decided to go full fascist this year in order to help install a dictatorship, destroy abortion rights, and encourage unadulterated racism.

Ladies and gentlemen, I have serious doubts about surviving the fascist dictatorship that will obliterate free and fair elections in the future. Anyone who is not rich or white will be screwed for eternity because the state chose to embrace the worst of America.

So now that I listed the most obvious reason on why Pennsylvania sucks nowadays, I am sure that there are other (nonpolitical) bad things about the state to complain about like the traffic and weather. Which is why I created this thread to throw in an Aliens reference against the state and vent out any frustrations that we might have on Pennsylvania.

Pelosi I believe already dubbed the any genocide protestors as puppets of Putin so they may make the entire thing out as a Russian op. My guess at the targets of blame will be some sections of marginalized people like Latinos (who have been drifting rightward for a while), Muslims (I've seen a lot of talks among palestinian aligned groups going toward casting protest votes for Trump to punish democrats), and progressives because they always do that.

The NYT has announced we should be mad at Latinos for electing Trump. A part of me wonders if the Democrats going hardline anti-immigrant is to blame rather than Latinos, but they seem to think the Democrats ran a good campaign and it's the fault of the people for voting incorrectly.

But I guess we can blast Pennsylvania instead, that seems about as reasonable as blaming anyone except the group that spent billions of dollars running in an election and lost that election.

If anyone really should've learned their lesson it's the Dems. Voter shaming didn't work for Hillary. They had a substantial number of people straight up telling them they were one issue voters and that issue was to stop the genocide and at every opportunity they sidelined and insulted them while continuing to make the genocide possible. They chased after Republican voters over Independent and progressive voters. Another thing that did not work for Clinton.

Going back people were saying Biden was unsuitable for office over a year ago and instead of putting him in a box and having a REAL primary they wait and wait and wait and then Kamala. There are so many things Dems could have done before Joe's approval rating tanked that they decided to just not do. Increase minimum wage? Nope. Do roe v Wade but for real this time? No. Keep the money Trump already was handing out to people coming? No with extra "we have to punish people to get them back to work" sauce on top.

To be fair, I am not too much of a fan of Joe Biden and Fetterman, as they have dropped the ball quite a few times in the past, but they are *miles* better than the Project 2025 fascists that are coming in January. In the inauguration, there is a good chance that the orange convict will either rip up the Constitution or whip his ass with it. I guess the moral of the story is that billionaires are above the law and the Ten Commandments (with apparently pertain to everyone else) and can commit any crime they want without consequences.

I would also like term "blue wave" to be removed from our vocabularies, as people get their hopes up every time because they hear this. I wanted to make room for any nonpolitical bad things about the Pennsylvania to complain about. I have heard that the traffic and weather is infamously bad in some areas, so I wanted the thread to catch that as well.

And yes, I think the DNC should be disbanded, as the leadership clearly has not learned enough of its lessons since 2016 and will be known as The Party Who Cannot Win. Too many missed opportunities were made since then that would have prevented this disaster from taking place. But I think that should probably be in another thread.

Still votes to be counted, but Trump got 74 million votes in 2020 and Joe Biden got 81 million.

Now Trump got 71 million plus whatever comes in, and Harris got 66 million.

It isn't that america was always going to vote for fascism, it was that Biden did a terrible job as president of fighting fascism or Harris ran a terrible campaign or both. Probably both.

Even if we pretended that America is a "democracy" internally (it isnt) there has never been a major party candidate who didn't believe in the inherent right of thr US empire to rule the world for as long as any of us have been alive. At no point do people in Bolivia or Chile or Sudan or Palestine get a say in whether they are subject to the dictatorial control of US dictators who rule them without any say from the legislature or courts and without any possible election putting someone who isn't a dictator in charge.
