This is Aparthied! and now AIPAC is trying to make an example of him to make sure that no one else tries to challenge the official position that genocide is good by taking him down with an extremely racist guy with hundreds of millions of dollars and a Hillary Clinton endorsement.

This is NOT NY news, but other permanently blue states can have evil piece of shit democrats too.

So the state of California has been trying to steal and burn people's stuff for the crime of being poor. The courts said "actually, under existing law, you can only steal all their shit and then burn it if you have enough shelter beds to offer them" but because heaven forbid we help a single person, they have flatly refused to do the second thing while continuing to work towards the first thing. The issue eventually was elevated to the Supreme Court in Grants Pass this term, and Gavin Newsom of course filed an amicus brief in support of mass murdering homeless people by shoving them into woodchippers.

The Supreme Court ruled that it is in fact legal for cities to mass murder homeless people by shoving them into wood chippers without actually having any housing for them to live in instead.

So now Gavin Newsom is moving to cut state funding to cities that refuse to murder all their homeless people.

Because absolutely FUCK Gavin Newsom.

We got some rather juicy news when it comes to New York politics this week:

First of all, we have Anthony D'Esposito's affair and ethics violations. Against a halfway decent Democrat, this should all but kill his re-election bid. However, the Democrats are foolishly running a horrid retread by the name of Laura Gillen, who ran the worst House campaign in the 2022 cycle. Despite it already being known at that time that Anthony D'Esposito was punished by the NYPD for letting his gun get stolen from his car, she still managed to lose to him in a district that Joe Biden won by over 14 points. She attacked far too many Nassau County Democrats for them to lend a serious hand, and her messaging was complete nonsensical garbage that offended a truckload of Long Island Democrats. Because she napalmed many of those bridges, she ended up folding to the crime and cashless bail attacks that the Nassau County Republicans threw at her. If she loses again, this is a prime example of the Democrats failing to learn their lessons.

Next up, Eric Adams is now facing criminal charges, and Democrats are quickly calling for him to resign. Hopefully he does so and not drag this out like Andrew Cuomo did.

Eric Adams and a recent incident where cops do what cops do but this time in the subway over a fare hopper are the only news I've heard from NY after the decision to do/not do something about Trump got shelved. Given what I have heard about Adams, his attitude, and his history it seems like he's the type to hold on desperately to his office/power to attempt to leverage it as much as he can.

Adams has been under investigation along with most of his admin by several different federal corruption investigations allegedly taking bribes from at least 6 countries.

But yeah he mostly just does evil stuff because he loves evil stuff, the bribes are secondary.

It is good that Eric Adams will probably be removed from power and go to jail, but it is weird that it's not for the various horribly evil things he's done (many and varied abuses of marginalized/poor people, all the cop support, his treatment of immigrants, etc.) and instead for normal, not particularly evil politician things he's done (bribery).

I will miss his crazed ramblings, I hope we get a lot of those at the trial. I want him to explain that he can't go to jail because he is God's chosen mayor of New York.

A fun fact about NY politics is that the Governor can remove the Mayor of NY at any time.

The current mayor is indicted for cheating in the election to be elected and is currently openly saying that he will help round up immigrants for Trump if Trump kills the investigation.

The NY governor, Kathy Hochul, approves of this, and thinks it's cool and awesome to sell immigrants for personal gain.

The DOJ was directed to dismiss the case against Adams, and the memo explicitly says that it has nothing to do with the trength of the case or the charges. Also Adams is going to be removing any sanctuary status of NYC.

Kathy Hochul continues to have the ability to remove him from office at any time, but won't do so, because she supports this.

Fedsoc trump loving doj people are resigning because they just think the open corruption of dismissing the case against adams in return for an explicit quid pro quo that everyone openly says is too much.

Kathy hochul has even less principles then a fucking fed soc trump ghoul because she's still ride or die for adams.

There's a call campaign to hound her into firing him so if you live in NY or know someone who does they should call 1-518-474-8390 and leave a voice-mail on it for her (this is the actual purpose of the line for constituents to leave voice-mails for the governor not her personal line) telling her what she should very obviously do.

Hilariously, the Saturday Night Massacre over protecting a guy Kathy Hochul could fire at any moment continues.

Another FedSoc attorney former roberts clerk resigntation letter dunking on the DOJ for trying to do this deal with Adams. This is actually the fourth person resigning over it.

They have got all the Public Integrity Division attorneys in a room and told them that they have to decide who's signing the motion or they are all fired. It is genuinely the funniest shit for the Trump admin to fall apart about because they literally just fired like 70% of the DOE by intern and closed USAID but the lawyers are all like "wow, time out, we really want to put this black dude in jail."

EDIT: This was actually the 6th person to resign over this specific deal.

Hathy Hochul has announced that what is going on in City Hall in NYC is "troubling and cannot be ignored" so she's announcing her intention to call a meeting to have a conversation about the path forward.

Jesus fuck just do a thing. Every time someone announces their blue ribbon commission they should be immediately shot into the sun.

While this isn't stupid, does Zohran Mamdani stand a chance at beating sex pest (or is regular old sexual assaulter?) Andrew Cuomo for mayor of NYC? It'd be pretty sick to see a socialist get elected there. Doesn't look like it's that close of a race but polling is stupid and Mamdani seems to have a lot of grassroots support thanks to his very, very popular policy proposals like free childcare.

I fucking hope. But as this entire thread is all about, NY democrats believe very strongly in voting for the most right wing racist mass murdering sexual assaulter they can in every single primary without exception.

They have fully internalized deaddm thought of voting for the greater evil in every primary on purpose out of instinctive fear that anyone who promises good things will not win a general election in NY, and it has led to many terrible outcomes, and one of them will be electing the mass murder corrupt republican sexual assault mayor (no not bloomberg, no not adams, no not Guiliani) Cuomo.

The mayorship DOES have ranked joice voting, and there is a strong movement to rank literally everyone but cuomo, but I doubt that movement is strong enough to overcome the instinctive NY democrat need to vote for the right winger.

Andrew Cuomo went on a radio broadcast to advertise his campaign for mayor and while on it sexually harassed the woman hosting it, asking her out on a date and trying to pressure her into agreeing literally while on air.

It's almost like that guy who had a pattern of leveraging power of office dynamics to sexually harass women has not in fact learned any lessons from being forced to resign, and will use every ounce of power he has as mayor to continue sexually harassing and assaulting women.

The Mayor's race is dialing the NY politics up to 11.

Zohran is polling above Cuomo in some polls, he is of course, completely unacceptable, because he's a vile leftist, muslim, some other reason that democrats hate him.

There was even a debate, where they asked "What is the first country you will visit after becoming Mayor?" basically just so people could shout Israel at the top of their lungs. Zohran said he would stay in NY working for the people of NY, to which the moderators immediately asked him if he believe Israel has a right to exist as a Jewish State. Zohran gave the same stock answer he always gives to this question as people ask him it every chance they get "Israel has a right to exist as a state with equal rights for everyone" to which, the moderators and Cuomo made clear what they meant by "Jewish State" by saying that he answered no.

So:

1) The NYT, that previously announced it would no longer do local endorsements, endorsed cuomo, the same way they endorsed him for governor in 2018 (where after winning he killed a bunch of people, got caught sexually harassing women using his position at governor, and had to resign in disgrace). They said he's garbage, bad, corrupt, and people need to vote for him, because heaven forbid someone vaguely left who doesn't have decades of experience being bad at things win.

2) 40% of Cuomo's endorsements come from people who called for him to resign 4 years ago.

3) A guy who wrote a book called "Carmaggedon" about how cars are bad declared he was Cuomo pilled because he couldn't stand the idea of free busses. Also a bunch of articles were written about how paying for Busses by taxes is bad because the REAL leftist position is to have the exact same taxes, but then also charge fares. (This is not actually how money works, the people you are charging fares and taxes to have finite amounts of money! If you want to take x% of money, you can take it all with taxes, and then zero fares.)

4) The guy who runs the worst grocery chain in NYC, a billionaire, said he would sell his stores and move to Florida if Zohran won because he couldn't compete with a government run grocery store (True, I wonder if this tells us anything about capitalist businesses vs state enterprises?)

5) Some people accused Zohran of calling for the genocide of all Jews for saying Globalize the Intifada, and he pointed out that the Holocaust Museum, in it's translations into Arabic, called the Warshaw Ghetto Uprising "Intifida" because it's just a word for struggle to cast off. The Holocaust Museum said he's not allowed to correctly describe their material, because they are the Holocaust Museum and it's actually antisemitic to say the word Intifada ever since 1987, people posted the images of the Holocaust Museum website saying the word Intifida about the Warshaw Uprising on their own site in the year 2024 and people laughed a lot.

6) In news NOT related to the two front runners, Brad Lander, a leftist Jew who cross endorses with Zohran (they both endorse each other and recommend their voters vote the other one as 2 since it is ranked choice voting), was escorting immigrants out of an immigration court because he regularly goes to assist on fridays. (Last week), ICE just kidnapped him and dragged him off when he asked to see their warrant. Then after every single person running for Mayor EXCEPT Andrew Cuomo showed up and demanded his release, he was released, and then interviewers tried to get him to say the campaigns were nice, but he mostly just dunked on Andrew Cuomo.

Today (Friday) he was back, helping at the immigration campaign.

7) US "democracy" will find a way no matter how man millions they need to spend.
