Moreover, what is the hierarchy beyond the three caste system: 1. Dear Leaders, 2. The prole and 3. The No Fus.

Joe, who plans to own Newall's Plumbing Company, asked the presidential hopeful about his plan to increase taxes for some Americans. He felt that Obama's increase plan may redistribute wealth.

"Robin Hood stole from greedy rich people and redistributed it to the peasants, so to speak, so if he's [Obama] calling us peasants, I kind of resent that," -Joe the Plumber, a Republican.

Oddly enough, The No Fus overlaps a decent amount with the Good Old Boys from 339 who happen to fall right behind the Dear Leaders for influence. Odd how you can be damn close to the top of the influence ladder and at the bottom of caste system.

Good point. For instance Llochlyn is someone whose creations and contributions I have always respected and yesterday he was totally oblivious to his punishment he got for doing something he did not know was against the rules, because no-one had said that anywhere. At least not as far as I know and he is not into breaking rules for fun.

The abilities actively hurt you, but are "flavorful." I was going quick. Was there a better way to phrase that?

While I personally don't like classes having drawbacks (I'm not even sure whether my rage users take -2 AC), they can be flavorful. The only thing one actually has to do about it is making sure that: a) they won't harm party interaction, b) they won't be circumvented without some kind of appropriate cost, and c) the class will be balanced taking them into account. As for the specifics of how it's going there, I've no idea - will check later.

Well -2 AC for +4 Str and Con or more and +2 Will saves or whatever is a good trade. Losing 2 Con to get a cheap magic item effect? Um, I'll take Hell No for 600 please Alex.

Not questioning that. I just tend to prefer class features taking nothing away. If that class' features are net losses, well ... something'll need to compensate.

I THINK THAT RP POTENTIAL IS A NET GAIN, BIGODE. It's not my fault that you can't see that being a frail, sickly whore who can die to a well-placed kitten doesn't create more than enough "RP points" to compensate for sucking.

God. Fucking powergamers.

Ubernoob can probably point you to an exact date and Kaelik might too, but my best guess is on Sunday. Ubernoob created a thread where he asked people to lower his fu and Llochlyn was one of the users who did that, he got punished and, AFAIK, no moderator told him that, I did.

The no fu thing happened some time after I got banned. Sunday night is my guess.

Well, SDK dropped so I'm down to two players. You want to jump in to make it a round 3? I'm still banned for like 4 more days so there is time to toss up a sheet.

I'd love to, but I will, unfortunately, have to pass. I'm okay at CO, but I'm not great, especially since I prefer simple builds. I'm also sick of playing casters, which means that I'm tempted to play a fighter. Straight fighter, even. Or straight rogue (without TWF). Which means that, in a game specifically designed to challenge heavily-optimized characters, I would die horribly, or I'd be a huge burden on the team.

You do realize that I could toss up an easy to run, yet powerful build in about 5 minutes for you, right? I suggested against the more heavy abuses. Right now it's just a beguiler and a beatstick cleric.

Wait, what?

I thought that the game was supposed to be some sort of weird demonstration that Factotums could or could not outshine other marginal characters when people were using literally laughable mount design rules incorrectly.

Hmm. What are the rules for the game? I checked the threads but didn't see any.

32 pb, level 14 starting, standard wealth. Don't use any trick that you don't want the enemies using against you. That's about it. Oh, and at this point we only have Denners in the game, so I would probably be willing to let in aspects of the tome where it doesn't fuck up other players sheets (classes, combat rules, but feats would mean I'd let the other players use tome feats, no tome of gears, you get the idea).

Different game, Frank. Tshern and Kaelik are players in my CO game. Level 12, fast leveling (because PbP combat takes forever) fairly hack and slash (because I'm not that strong of a writer). SDK was supposed to be a player, but he wussed out after he realized that I wasn't lying about being able manipulate people (see the DoW thread between me and JaronK). So now I'm down from 3 players to two.

The factotum thing is what Kaelik is running a rogue in, I'm running an ardent in, and Tshern is supposed to DM. Level 5 and we get to show JaronK that he doesn't know what the fuck he's talking about.

My big issue is that my game just dropped to two players though. That's problematic.

I'm fine with standard feats and things. Any suggestions for a rogue 14? Essentially, my character idea is that the character is an older man, a reformed rogue who lives as a monk of Pelor. However, given that the world is exploding, he decides that Pelor wouldn't begrudge him using his "talents" to keep everything from dying, as that would make Pelor sad.

Get lots and lots of things to work around SA immunity (Kaelik has a gigantic list of useful stuff around here somewhere). Ideally get lots of wands with the spells to help get in SA with 10 charges put into wand chambers on some weapons kept on your person. Divine power is also handy to have. Something like rogue 13/ lion totem whirling frenzy barbarian 1. That way you have PTWF from your rogue special abilities and crippling strike (make sure to take savvy rogue from dungeonscape so you can str damage people to death). Acid flask rogues would actually be pretty optimal for the first couple of battles due to the elemental focus of the game. I can toss up a full build for either acid thrower or run up and gank if you'd like in another thread or PM.
