Can we at least agree though that given the general profile of what Baali are like and what Marco is capable of he totally would try to at least capture you unless we come up with something better than we've currently got? Like we should at least be friends or something because I'm not seeing the adversarial thing. I just didn't think you were all that thrilled about an Oracle guy either.

I agree, that makes sense for your training, and average Baali methodology. You could probably pull that on the average Baali, and it would totally work. If you pulled that on Diego, though, you'd either get captured yourself (if you were foolish enough to try it in a place where he could melee you) or get shot and die (temporarily; resurrection pending some kind of agreement between the WCL and the Order).

Okay children. Mommy is busy, but seriously. No more pissing contest, trust me, my characters are way better than yours, I can just give them Elder Powers whenever I fucking want.

The takeaway is:

1) If I haven't talked about your character, it's not because I hate you. I will get to it more soon.

2) Don't talk about how your characters can beat up other peoples.

3) No one is allowed to have secret information that if someone else knew would result in their death.

4) No interparty conflict like this.

Okay, so that's word of god; no creating characters who are motivated to kill each other beforehand.

Any chance I could convince you to run the Oracle variant, so that you're not specifically and deeply affiliated with the one faction I have enemies in?

I can work on it, yeah. I'm hoping the Oracles are more dubious organization of prophecy mongers than thinly veiled Sailor Moon though. Can I get any clarification on that?

The Oracles don't seem especially dubious to me... they really are the only unambiguously good organization in the setting. They could, of course, be more good then they are, but that doesn't detract that they remain the most good organization in existence. Not necessarily Sailor Moon per se, but definitely the Good Guys.

That said, I would imagine that, since they're basically a lot of the same people that keep respawning, they've probably been standardized in their uniforms for ages. The group as a whole is more then just Sailor Moon, but Sailor Moon is certainly in the group.

Yeah. There is a reason I didn't like the "let's all be Oracles" idea. I'm an evil wizard, damnit. My magical power comes from demons, and is based on rape and torture. I've got no business being affiliated with the Good Guys.

Yeah. TBH, I'm sort of at a loss here then because I seriously wrote up that initial rat man with the notion that he'd be able to get along with anyone.

The Oracles are not the only unambiguously good organization in the setting. They are the only ambiguously good organization in the setting.

Hmm. Well, the Ash Walkers, the Black Hand, and the Hollow Ones all have organizational ideologies that can fit most anywhere a Daziban guy could fit into. Do any of those appeal to you at all?

Not really; I chose a Nezumi because I like rats and I'm way more interested in secrets, prophecies and supernatural stuff than playing Vampire Tycoon. I mean, he's got red-taped and is thus uniquely unsuited to playing the front man in business operations. Wasn't an accident.

Well, if you're taking orders from other supernaturals, that's not necessarily an issue... it's mortal businessmen that cause you problems. Again, though... Black Hand. You seemed to be putting a great deal of thought into how best to ambush and capture Baali; if you can do that, you can murder them just as easy.

EDIT: also, and because it deserves mention; you don't have to be affiliated with a cult. Diego isn't, although he was associated with the Daziban in the past. I'm just making suggestions because if you directly un-Daziban yourself with no other changes, that leaves a cult-shaped hole in your character.

It's just a bummer that the cults that pay in shit I care about are heavy on deal breakers. Like the Chains of Coronis make me super sad because I love blood magic, contacts and destinies but I couldn't play an anti-science type without wanting to punch myself in the dick.

Yeah, really. Fortunately, there's an easy way around that; a one-point destiny gives you access to whatever sorceries you want, so there's no need to be tied to a cult.

That's not actually why I took my book (I did that so I could have an easy way to throw Ritual Magic at any problem for which Ritual Magic is the appropriate answer), but if there's any specific magic you want to use, don't feel restricted by cultic preference.

Is there really even anything saying that Marco has to be antagonistic towards Diego if he's in the Daziban? I mean, just because you're affiliated with a group that hates Person X because Person X fucked them over doesn't mean you have to have any strong personal feelings towards Person X. Daziban could tell Marco "Hey, Diego stole a bunch of our shit, get it back," but unless there's seriously someone local to check up on him, Marco doesn't really have to give two shits.

edit: And if there is someone local who's in the Daziban that Marco really needs to worry about, then Daziban should have told that person to do it.

I'd feel better about it if my background seriously wasn't a recovery/acquisitions specialist for the Daziban with a "gain status" driving passion. I'm working on it and am open to suggestions.

--Edit--

That came across as a bit petulant and I'd like to stress that no, I don't think this is a particularly big deal. I'm just working up a few options quick.

Here we go. I went with the Hollow Ones since that just seems a good way to ditch any cognitive dissonance problems. I really, really didn't want to ditch cults entirely.

Okay, all the characters seem fine. So what I want you guys to do is:

1) Post your character sheet, or a link to it, and nothing else.
2) Not post anything until everyone else has done so.
3) Conform your character sheet to the following standard:

First
0) Name/Cult/Syndicate/ect
a) Have Potency/Edge (expressed as X/Y)/Power Points, Power Schedule
b) A health bar: [ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ][ ]
c) Resistances, including Death Threshold, Frenzy, and aggravating material

d) Everything else in what ever order you want.

EDIT: In spoiler tags

Prak, PP should be 13/13 as well, I just didn't say that because I thought it was assumed.

Borghild/Baden/The Dresden Doll
"Dres"

"What, you want the accent? Look, you live for 70 years, you get tired of sounding like you walked out of a bad porn mag and learn to pronounce 'w's."
Borghild "was built in 1941 by a team of craftsmen from Germany's Hygeine Museum in Dresden. The project was supervised by the famous preparator and technician Franz Tschakert. The 'Father of the Woman of Glass,' which happened to be the sensation in 1930's Second International Hygiene Exhibition, used his skills and experience to create the kind of doll the world had never seen before."
Reichsfuhrer SS Heinrich Himmler discovered that he was losing more men to the diseases of French prostitutes, and so, in the mechanical and inept tradition of the Nazi Party, he turned to creating a standin for women with which his men could vent their physical urges. The project, originally called Burghild, the German version of the dutch Borghild, was considered "more secret than top secret," but seemed to be, to the men working on it, quite promising.
She, and her sisters created in bronzemolds, were planned to follow the Stormtroopers into battle in disinfection tanks, the hard, inhumanity of the Nazi war machine standing in stark contrast to the camp followers of history. She was molded to be a physical avatar of lust. Her body was assembled from lifecasts of female German athletes. The scientists wished to copy the face of a famous actress, but, when she politely declined, instead decided to mold an "artificial face of lust," based upon descriptions of "the common wanton's face." Finally, she was given a boyish haircut, to underline the fact that she "was part of the fighting forces--a field-whore and not an honourable Mother."
Though no one is sure how it happened, Borghild found consciousness somewhere around the time of the Firebombing of Dresden. Which, alone, certainly suggests what happened. Walking out of the firestorms, the assembled supernaturals nicknamed the Android woman "The Dresden Doll." Later, a german werewolf saw her recharging in her chemical bath and sarcastically nicknamed her Baden (german for Bather), which stuck amongst her supernatural clients who caught the joke, then amongst her mundane clients, though they didn't know know what the joke was.

After the bombing of Dresden, Borghild was picked up by the Allies, or more accurately, Supernaturals who worked for them. When interrogated under Betrayal of the Tongue, it was found that not only did she not ascribe to Nazi ideology, but that she was actively repulsed by it. "They built a lover, not a fighter." she told them (followed by "Well... really more of an unmoving, uncaring, lust toy that they could rape than a lover, but, you know what I'm saying.") They immediately introduced her to superiors, seeing her potential usefulness, which she lived up to. She worked as a deep cover agent, returning to the Nazi forces, and having to answer some complicated questions. Eventually she decided it was just simpler to lie with the truth, or at least that part of the truth where she was supernatural. In the last half year of the way, she fed what information she could to the Allies, while picking up other skills, mostly mechanics and repair, along the way.
Mostly her work was in France, imbedded into the occupying nazi forces and feeding information to the Cauchemar Communes who were involved in the French Resistance (and a lot of other things, of course, but as a number of elder supernaturals were in bed with the nazis...), which led to her eventual petitioning for citizenship in the society. At the same time, a lot of the things she had to do in her work as a spy was stuff that she literally could not bring herself to do, if not for the fact that every second of it brought her closer to helping to end the reign of her creators, and so it wasn't long before the Followers of Set found her and convinced her that they could help her, since she was kind of already doing their thing anyway.
After the war, she was exonerated of all ties with the Nazis in thanks for her work against them.
She came out of all of this with the general opinion that freedom is good, and oppression or being told what to do is bad. The upshot of this is that simply doing what she's told to do by the Church of Set is then Setian, and that many people think they should or need to be told what to do, and so freeing them is also fairly Setian. The downside is that her actual driving passion, freeing people, has essentially no real end in sight, and is often at odds with what the Church of Set tells her to do, what with the addictive nature of people and vices.
There's also the fact that some of the nazi war criminals who escaped to south america have ideas about her, having been connected with the project that created her and curious about her likeness, or just curious about her ability to walk out of a fire bombing relatively unharmed.

Thomas Wachter was once a file clerk at a law firm, but he sold his soul to become a great musician so he could impress a woman. That woman is long dead and he is Fallen. He changed his name to Hannibal or maybe just Rex, packed up his guitar, and drove down to Mexico. Or so the story goes...
Rex has an irrational dislike of Italians, and of Covenant leadership in particular. This is not a huge impediment to operating in Ciudad, as many Mexican Covenant members aren't especially happy with the Antipope either. It is rumored that Rex has a long-term goal of helping to complete the split between Ciudad and Rome, but that's not especially strange for a member of the Makhzen (or the Wreckers, for those who know his Cult).
Rex has the sort of voice you might expect from someone who has spend a lifetime filling his lungs with tar, but this is most likely the result of becoming Fallen. In his natural form, Rex is a middle-aged man with muscles just starting to go to fat. His deeply lined face bears more than one 'dueling' scar, but Rex still keeps his dark hair slicked back.

Driving passion: TBD.
Disadvantages: Feared by Children, Ugly.
Advantages: Experimenter.

Backstory- Jean-Claude was born in 1725 into the highest tier of French nobility. He enjoyed the benefits of such a lifestyle
to the fullest until he was turned into a Strigoi by another nobleman. Jean-Claude quickly realized that the benefits of such
a transformation would allow him to enjoy life as he never could have before for a very long time, and quickly joined the
Covenenant, seeing them as a group that could preserve his lifestyle and provide him with security and companionship.
Jean-Claude spent most of his days gambling, whoring, dueling, drinking, and feeding on prostitutes until his ignorance of politics turned
on him. Along with the French Revolution came an invasion of Paris by the Communes. Jean-Claude fought on the front lines out of
loyalty and fear: he had no doubts that with the revolution, both in the mortal and supernatural worlds, would come with an end
to his indulgent, exploitative lifestyle. Seeing that the writing was on the wall, as he was a young vampire with nothing to bargain with,
he fled to the Covenant stronghold of Ciudad de Mexico. Sadly, the prostitutes had fleas, the wine was piss, and it was far too hot.
Jean-Claude quickly weaseled himself into a positiion as the overseer as the Priest as one of the more debauched barrios of the city, a position
that he has held with a remarkable degree of competence given the amount of time he spends in an opium fog or in high-stakes poker games.
He continues to despise Ciudad de Mexico, although the quality of the wine has improved markedly. He wants nothing more than to sail down
the Seine or to dine in Versailles in a time when the Covenant ruled Europe, the supernatural ruled mortals, and the nobility ruled the
peasants. On the other hand, Jean-Claude knows far too well that this will never be possible, given the peace treaty and modern democracy.
As such, his hate for the Communes has diminished slowly over the years, although he still salivates at the oppourtunity to damage their
cause, although he reacts far more strongly to any threat to his position and security. Recently, the Ulmi have begun making overtures to him,
seeking greater influence in Central America, an area that has not traditionally been an Ulmi stronghold. Seeing an opportunity for greater influence
and power, Jean-Claude accepted and became initiated into the family. He currently acts as a mediator between the Covenant and the Ulmi in Ciudad
de Mexico and liases with various local Ulmi actors, introducing them to people that he knows, smoothing over their difficulties, and helping them
find clients, all while taking a hefty cut.

A few notes- I changed him to having the Ulmi as a cult to provide some more plot hooks, and I thought it fit. Also, would having the oratory specialization for Expression count towards my dicepools for powers?

So I guess that's everyone. Now, Korgan, what were you spending that edge on?

Everyone:

So, you guys are... what? A group of friends who just sort of... piss me off by sucking at combat?

Where do you want to go with this, as far as me feeding you stuff?

The U.S. isn't a democracy and if you think it is, you are a rube.

That's libertarians for you - anarchists who want police protection from their slaves.

Um, I was under the impression that you spent edge on tests and stuff, so I guess I'll spend it on whatever tests come up? I already factored my edge into the resistance tests, so I'm not sure what you're asking. Also, sorry about the whole combat thing. If you think the face angle is covered by Hannibal, I can easily whip up a Bagheera or something who can own face in combat; I'm on vacation so I have literally nothing else to do.

As for JC, he's really motivated by threats to his security as he doesn't want to be displaced at all. Someone in the covenant angling for his position would be good; he probably has fingers in some prositution pies and uses them a lot, so that's a tie-in to Borghild and whoever else has ties to prostitution. I can't speak for anyone else, though.
