I think it's rather funny that even as he's showing that data he's trying to spin it in the favor of the OECD model. Democracy & market economies. Despite the fact that when he shows Vietnam and China go market economics, their rate of growth of lifespan flattens out.

He doesn't even mention the Soviet switch to market economics, which is understandable given the OECD prejudice.
