Birth Announcement

Post by TarkisFlux »

On July 23rd, at 0100 PDT, my first born came into this world (he's a boy in case anyone here cares about gender, I didn't). It was a generally shitty labor for my wife, culminating in an unplanned C-Section, but he's a basically healthy boy at this point.

Which is why I've been posting even less than usual. Not that the explanation was really necessary, I just wanted to share the birth with you folks. Soon as I can be bothered to get a pic or me and him hosted I'll share it in the faces thread.

Congratulations!
He jumps like a damned dragoon, and charges into battle fighting rather insane monsters with little more than his bare hands and rather nasty spell effects conjured up solely through knowledge and the local plantlife. He unerringly knows where his goal lies, he breathes underwater and is untroubled by space travel, seems to have no limits to his actual endurance and favors killing his enemies by driving both boots square into their skull. His agility is unmatched, and his strength legendary, able to fling about a turtle shell big enough to contain a man with enough force to barrel down a near endless path of unfortunates.

--The horror of Mario

Zak S, Zak Smith, Dndwithpornstars, Zak Sabbath. He is a terrible person and a hack at writing and art. His cultural contributions are less than Justin Bieber's, and he's a shitmuffin. Go go gadget Googlebomb!

congrats!
"But transportation issues are social-justice issues. The toll of bad transit policies and worse infrastructure—trains and buses that don’t run well and badly serve low-income neighborhoods, vehicular traffic that pollutes the environment and endangers the lives of cyclists and pedestrians—is borne disproportionately by black and brown communities."

Congratulations on having a healthy child! Also, my sympathies for your wife, but I imagine it's going to get a lot better from that point onward.

Congratulations! On the plus side in a few years you might be able to return to a normal sleep pattern, but until then enjoy that little 24/7 bundle of diaper changing joy!

bring him up however he wants. but teach him well.

Hey as always. while this board is not the most kid friendly of places, we've gotten the most weird of weird questions. so shoot away when you've got a question.

I'm not at all religious and I don't know your status. but as I was taught.

"the standing of order to a kid should always be - parents, teacher, God "
Well that was Mother, father, but I made it gender neutral :-P

If you want to take the last part out, take it out. if not keep it in. It's up to you. I put in everything from the library to hiking and firefly catching for my kid in the last part.

So have fun, have love, and it'll be good.

I was an unplanned C-section. Preeclamsia
My little sister was born eight years later on the same day. No preeclamsia.

So things can look up in the future. A shitty labor does not guaranty future shitty labors.

Excellent.

Your freedom to add and change rules in the middle of the game is in direct conflict with my ability to understand that rules system before I decided whether or not to join your game.

In short, your entire post is dismissive of not merely my intelligence, but my agency. And I don't mean agency as a player within one of your games, I mean my agency as a person. You do not want me to be informed when I make the fundamental decisions of deciding whether to join your game or buying your rules system.

Congrats!

My crew (four in all) were born via c-section.

Kids are grand - just remember to enjoy them and not worry so much.

Congratulations. So long as you're not too incautious in raising your spawn you're no longer eligible for the Darwin awards.

Congratulations. You can imagine my relief when I found out this thread *wasn't* about Obama and the birthers.
