Things to watch and think about when making a Game

Post by Judging__Eagle »

I watched this recently on YouTube.

I think that watching, reading, and hearing what we -want- our games to be like is a good idea.

HD version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lQjEvf-l ... annel_page

An other version: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_q ... type=&aq=f

Some parts near parts 8 and 9 need to jump to a different series of video stream.

It's got some pretty interesting acting, and a -lot- of very recognizable elements of "the heroe's journey".

It's a level 1-6-ish adventure. That doesn't mean it can't be awesome though.

I'm watching it again in High Def with subtitles, I really like it.

You can find a synopsis here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stardust_(2007_film)

The book was fairly pleasant as well, and the premise could provide inspiration for a setting with the sorts of tiered physical realms being discussed presently.

I've actually seen that movie. I think the thing that sticks with me is the royal family. I will never forget how that king set his son up for failure.

Good movie and good book. Books better, though less of an adventure surprisingly. I was tempted to make my 7th Sea campaign use that world for a foray into fairydom
The internet gave a voice to the world thus gave definitive proof that the world is mostly full of idiots.

It's from a novel apparently.

anyway, Korgoth, of Barbaria. A single pilot episode produced for Adult Swim.

Fighters needs powers like the ones shown here.

Parts 1, 2, and 3 of Episode one, in HQ:
The series Pilot; it was never released due to production costs, think Conan meets Heavy Metal

Parts 1 and 2

Blackstar shows one way of dealing with Polymorph using characters.

One of the more amusing parts of the movie was when one of the sisters shot fire at the prince. He swatted a few stray flames off his clothes and looked mildly annoyed. Clearly, the witch was a 3e evoker.

Too bad they didn't continue Korgoth. That was everything a Barbarian should have be.

Yeah, Kogroth was expensive to make, and was on the borders of a lot of things.
