I'm just running Frank's name, and oh my god, the man has an online presence you wouldn't believe. For some reason, though, this engine interprets his rules-related stuff to be 'Sports'... go figure.
Everything I learned about DnD, I learned from Frank Trollman.

I think they group sources by general site thematics, not by article (post) content, and a large portion of the sites gets classified as "sports" by their engine.
Shameless plug time!
I typed in my own name and found only tags on amazon, which was not surprising, since that's what Google shows too. Then I searched for my Russian name via Google. This is the first hit:
PDF, 1.42 Mb
Woo hoo, I got a favorable mention in a newspaper. Okay, it's my alma mater's newspaper, so the distribution area is the U itself and three affiliated schools, but hey, now if anyone googles my name they'll see how totally awesome I am (if they know Russian, of course). At the bottom of the page, the one in the brown jacket is me.

I tried my name, which, as I figured, was thrown off by the name of an early host of Trading Spaces on TLC.
If someone wants to figure out my first and last name, go ahead. I've mentioned my first name a couple of times.

He jumps like a damned dragoon, and charges into battle fighting rather insane monsters with little more than his bare hands and rather nasty spell effects conjured up solely through knowledge and the local plantlife. He unerringly knows where his goal lies, he breathes underwater and is untroubled by space travel, seems to have no limits to his actual endurance and favors killing his enemies by driving both boots square into their skull. His agility is unmatched, and his strength legendary, able to fling about a turtle shell big enough to contain a man with enough force to barrel down a near endless path of unfortunates.

Zak S, Zak Smith, Dndwithpornstars, Zak Sabbath. He is a terrible person and a hack at writing and art. His cultural contributions are less than Justin Bieber's, and he's a shitmuffin. Go go gadget Googlebomb!

I'm not super enthused about the ability of that site to recognize relevance. For example, my last name appears on crayola boxes everywhere, and this was one of the results from the site:
Edit: The site apparently recognizes "game" to be a sports related word, hence the big sports amounts.
Yes, that site thinks that I'm racially charged. That site wrote:THERE IS TROUBLE BETWEEN THE BLACKS AND PUERTO RICANS BECAUSE XXX (BLACK) IS DATING ANGELA (PUERTO RICAN, OR "LATINA" FOR TODAY'S PC AUDIENCE)

Kaelik is apparently the name of a character in a bad Harry Potter fanfic judging by the snippets on the bottom.

Ahh, that might make sense. I was wondering why one of my teen nicks had sport so much. I assumed it was because I played on a POkemon Anime style battling message board as a kid. Figured either battling or league might have set it off.TarkisFlux wrote:I'm not super enthused about the ability of that site to recognize relevance. I have a major 'sports' presence, too, though I can't claim to have done anything significant sports related since before the internet existed....it found lots and lots of obscure stuff I did ages ago, though.

My real name is not online related to me much of anywhere, but is very big in civil war crap and some business executive.

I saw stuff scrolling as it processed my name, but other than a weird chart, I got nothing. Am I missing something, because it tells me bugger all about me.

My real name gets a notice that I was born in the late 1800s, and nothing else. My pseudonym gets stuff on my pseudonymsake.
Face it. Today will be as bad a day as any other.
Musical? O-o
I see what's it's doing. It's looking to see if you've posted on forums and blogs. I saw it grabbing things I'd posted over the years. So it really only works on people who are in the news and people in blogs.
I don't think it knows what 'games' are, though.
Hee, I see, since I have unique names, it doesn't find anyone else. If I use my given name, it finds dozens of other people.

Watch out Martha Stewart
I get that "Sports" really means "Sports and Leisure" and includes RPGs, Video games and such, but I'm baffled how "domestic" ends up being my largest category.
"But transportation issues are social-justice issues. The toll of bad transit policies and worse infrastructure—trains and buses that don’t run well and badly serve low-income neighborhoods, vehicular traffic that pollutes the environment and endangers the lives of cyclists and pedestrians—is borne disproportionately by black and brown communities."

I got a big sports too but I blame it on very distant relatives sharing the same name being famous sporting personalities.
What puzzled me was the bunch of weird shit that tied for second. Like "medical"?
Now the high showing for "illegal" at first seemed easy to blame on my insane gunfighting pirate uncle (damn him!) but in retrospect since his on-line presence is very small... (edit: on a second check under one of his aliases he actually has a moderately reasonable Internet presence, hell there is a lame sighting of him on youtube).
But hey, fortune telling sure is fun. Like I've known ever since I was about 10 and I taught myself palm reading from "The Tome Of Forbidden Knowledge" (largely as an excuse to fondle some girl hands... hmmm, maybe I should brush up on my fortune telling skills...)

Crazy.
My work editing some Eva Fanfiction; an ancient 40k webring site; a filk song that I wrote for an art submission; and surprise, surprise, my father's work for an international engineering and contracting firm.
Apparently, this nickname is associated with.... using plasma guns in space marine squads in 40k. I think that's hilarious.

I think the site looks for quotes about you rather than quotes by you, since it's supposed to be about how the web perceives your name.
Anyway, here are my results:
Absentminded Wizard: Since it's a common fantasy trope, I don't get any quotes that are actually about me. No. 1 category is Social.
Althar (my SN on Caedrus' board): Tons of hits because it's apparently a common misspelling of "altar."
My real name: It's shared by over 10,000 Americans, including a famous movie director, though Movies didn't end up as the No. 1 category.
Adding my middle initial turns up lots of references to some high-powered professional with the same name, making Management the No. 1 category.

I put in my real name, nothing interesting, but those flashes of web snippets were interesting. I saw one pass that was clearly about me as a District Deputy of the Knights of Columbus referencing the fact that I served the french toast sticks. (I think this was at a church breakfast.) Really I deserve better than to just be known for having once served the french toast sticks!

My dad gets a wide illegal bar from being the principle investigator of a project. So, yeah, it could use a bit of work.Surgo wrote:I wonder what it means by "Illegal"?
