You said in the other topic that they are physical objects. What's it look like? Because right now I'm seeing blue magic beans. Purple spheres. But they are edible - that's how you gain levels, by consuming XP - so they have a magic effect on them that makes them look good to eat. So I imagine more...

Tael

Tael XP points are physical objects. You can collect them, trade them, or eat them to gain levels. Monsters want them because monsters are high-CR creatures, and creating new baby monsters is like creating magic items - it costs XP. That's why monsters hunt people, because people create XP. That's ...

I want players to fail because they decided to roll the dice, and didn't roll well enough... The point is, they should be in control of when they risk a dice roll. Then, all bets are off. World of Prime

I just started putting out stuff for my World of Prime campaign setting. It's not nearly as witty as Frank & K's stuff, but I do have one interesting idea: XP = Gold. Not implicitly, as in magic items cost you 5 gp for each XP used to make them, but explicitly, as in "Ok I owe you 2 XP and ...

Frank's an asshole

The comedian Rick Reynolds has a bit where he explains, "there are two kinds of people in the world: creeps and assholes. And if you're an asshole, you're proud of it."

Same here - Frank's writing is hilarious and brilliant. I haven't actually played a D&D game in years, but I come here to read Frank's stuff, because it describes a weird and wonderful world that sounds like a lot of fun.
