Re: My review of Saga
Scoundrels have one other use: +5 to any skill check for a whole encounter, at the cost of a standard action and a Force Point. Mid level force users are all over this.

Re: Social Combat: An idea
Frank, the 'war points' you're talking about is the social damage track . As two people engage in social combat, they are knocking each other down one or more tracks with any number of techniques. Each loss would carry some penalty, and 'defeat' would only come after a lot of suffering.[br][br][br]I...

Re: Mutants and Masterminds -- The Apocalypse
RPG magic mythology has plenty of reasons, which I think Mr. Orlove was getting at. There's 'wild magic', where using your super powers always has unforeseen side effects (superheroes can deal with them, but muggles can't). There's 'detectable magic + greed', where any use of a super power can be se...

For healing, it seems that a small horde of repair-bots would work best flavor-wise (despite the fantastical nature of the game). In that case you might as well literally have 'repair guns' which you can fire at your allies or enemies (covering them in a small swarm of the 'bots, either for reconstr...
