@Roy: Really... Just shut up Roy that doesn't have shit to do with what I said. @RC: True I don't expect it to be done in one thread but that was the original idea that this thread started with but it has degraded to people arguing basically about whether or not you should Rule 0 your games. It's n...

To Mask_De_H, a small correction: theoretically, all Solars can learn Sidereal MA, it is just that it is hard to justify in-setting and Essence requirements bar PC-level Solars from the best stuff. Oh yeah that's right. That becomes a moot point if you're playing 1st Age/High XP start, but that's a...

I love you for this FatR, Exalted seems so cool until you actually read it. Then it is made of broken dreams and failure. I can try to cover some of your stuff Lago; I'm not the most knowledgeable on Exalted, but I'm bitter enough and dumpster dove for long enough to give at least brief snippets. Ce...

Wait, wasn't the ability to do a full move and keep their full attack one of the nice things fighters got taken away from them from 2e - 3e? Granted, with the stuff we can already do with Blitz and how much easier it is to get multiple attacks at L1, throwing Pounce on the pile would just get silly....

Wouldn't this just be better served with a set of per-session abilities and some refreshing at-will/Winds of Fate abilities? If you remove the concept of per-encounter powers and just go off of a more sensible metagame timeframe things would be alright, right? Fantasy Craft does this and I find it c...

Okay, I've got a silly question on par with VITM's, only on the opposite power scale. There's a level 15 game going down, where nothing is really off limits and Tome stuff is go (except for the scaling feats, oddly enough). Heavy optimization in the style of the WotC boards seems to be the aim. I ha...

Alright, since you want crazy Bleach action, MnM/BESM 3e seem to be your best bet. The GM's going to need to work things out with all parties involved so the game doesn't go into crazytown. Wushu might be able to do this with the narrative based gaming aspect, and a rework of the FATE system could h...

You know, if you swear constantly, it loses some of its impact. You know, if you suck dicks constantly, it loses some of its impact. In less offensive terms, please leave. You have brought nothing new to the table than the myriad 4e defenders that have come before you, you've only wrought flames an...

Well what we really need to do is set up something that magic can't do. Brainstorming in the spirit of this thread: Bridges There's a naked elf on the other side of the iron bridge, and the wizard... - Can't cross over running water - Is weakened by the presence of iron - Can't touch man-made struc...

Wait, so you're trying to make plot death a hard and fast rule of the game? When it's a narrative convenience. Wat. If it really irks you that much, just have it be required to have a preserved corpse and a soul for res purposes, if you want a fucker to stay dead, have them get hit by a soul-stealin...

It's better to have something like rezing and simply offer the option to ignore it than just to remove it because you don't like it. I like what you've got JE, the Innate/Equip distinction works for me instead of the item having an inherent power. I worry about the way non-combat powers work with th...

Re: I guess I will be the party pooper
Ok, You realize you have basicaly designed GURPS right? Only with fewer stats. Skill based, classless system =! GURPS. Several games use this system. Anyway, I find this interesting but things to consider: Attributes are a way of differentiating characters. If you are not going to use them you will...

Eh, the guy likes Padded Sumo. We most certainly do not. We should let bygones be bygones because remember folks, most people don't play DnD like we play DnD. Not allowing players to one-shot is not really a betrayal of player trust Frank, no more than having pro wrestling kayfabe as a betrayal of t...

Somewhat off topic, but why do we get the angry and tactless defenders of things like PFRPG and 4e all the time? I've seen sane people who like those things, why don't they come in to reasonably talk to us? Is it because our seemingly head honcho's name evokes the feared Internet Troll? Is it becaus...
