Eh. I got tired of Carl's Jr.'s ads. Their marketing is like 90% exploitation of women, 9% insulting men, and 1% dumb bullshit. And the El Diablo is just the latest "we don't understand flavour, so we're just going to throw a bunch of capsaicin on this thing to compensate"

Although I've only been at it for a year, my attempts to improve my credit score is starting to bear fruit. In the past year, the APR on my credit card has dropped 12%. Still too damn high, but it's a step in the right direction.

good on you, keep it up.
meanwhile: mine is dropping without me actually doing anything that would be considered bad . .
explanation:
in germany, it's the other way around.
You start out with 98,3(because appearantly, nobody is 100% perfectly trustworthy in terms of credit rating, despite never having had any credits or contracts or anything similar to his name).
And every time somebody ASKS how credit worthy you are, your worthiness DROPS by a certain ammount.
And of course, every possible landlord will enquire about that before deciding wether or not to accept you as a tenant . .
so as soon as you go looking around for a new place to live, your schufa-rating(that's the credit worthiness in germany basically) starts dropping and you can not do anything to stop it or reverse that process any time soom . .

My kitty died. Her name was Vesta and she literally followed me home from the street one day when she was a kitten. I took her to my apartment and she grew up, but she was still less than a year old. Then night before last I forgot to close my sixth-story bedroom window and she fell out. I found her under some steps underneath my building, and wrapped her in an expensive bag and buried her in the trash in a box. I won't be getting a new animal for a long while.
Then, once you have absorbed the lesson, that your so-called "friends" are nothing but meat sacks flopping around in the fashion of an outgassing corpse, pile all of your dice and pencils and graph-paper in the corner and SET THEM ON FIRE. Weep meaningless tears.

Be relaxed, and keep your mouth shut.

The correct answer to "You forget to do this" or "you didn't do this right" is "Oh, crap. I'm sorry. Show me?"

If you have to mop a floor, fill up the bucket quite a bit, and always wring your mop out two or three times, until you can't really see it dripping unless you watch it for a couple of seconds. It's obvious, but less water on the floor means it dries out quicker and it's less likely to leave water spots.

So I was trying to watch a video on Xfinity about signer Randy Howard's death (because the headline was on their site, so I got curious about it). So, when the video first loads, they play some ads. Whatever.

But when I hit the "Play" button, instead of showing me the video... the same fucking ads play again. I thought that I had just hit the wrong button, but no, when I hit what really was the play button, it happened again.

So I filled out an "ad feedback" survey. Here it is, for posterity:

I really did send that, by the way.

Last week, I forgot about the Annual fee for my gym membership and thus overdraft, because I couldn't get the cash for the damned thing. So I wound up $73 in debt to the bank.

I mowed my aunt's lawn and was given a bunch of recycling from her that I could cash in. I kept about $10-15 cash so I could maintain some sanity getting out of the damned house, and looked for ways to get some more cash. I took a bunch of books to Half Price Books today and got $30 for them.

Then, when I'm standing waiting for coffee at Starbucks, I realize that if I had just put all the fucking money in the bank last week, I'd at least be back in positive numbers now, goddamnit. It wouldn't have given me the $20 I also need for the monthly gym fee, but at least I wouldn't be over-fucking-drawn.

But basically, I need to find another $14 just to be back in positive numbers, then a further $20 to pay for my membership and not overdraw again on the 17th.

Oh, and Craigslist gigs in this area are mostly "I need a hot chick to photograph/massage me/otherwise fill a hole in my creeper life" rather than things I can actually do for some cash.

fuck this.

I somewhat regret getting the Ponyfinder Campaign Setting. Mostly because they put out a LOT of freaking supplements and published adventures and I get e-mails constantly.

Do this.

I make a living off of it.

It's not for the faint of heart, though. It takes a lot of fucking effort, and is monotonous as hell.

This forum is useful.

http://www.mturkgrind.com/

But you can easily make $10-$20 a day turking. $40-50 a day is doable once you get some experience and qualifications. And there are people there who make over $100 a day.

It'd also suggest Swagbucks if you have a smartphone.
http://www.swagbucks.com/
Run short videoes on their android apps and you can get around a dollar a day, and can cash out with paypal at $25

https://prolificacademic.co.uk/
is also okay. However, they don't have nearly enough surveys, so it's slow. They pay you in british money, which is worth more, and you can cash out with Paypal at 5 pounds. IOt's a pretty godo rate even after conversion fees.

Hey guys there's a really large bee in the room I'm in right now and it's really freaking me out and I think I've shat out my ribcage from fear and I really don't want to get stung and I'm really scared and O GOD IT JUST FLEW BY ME but it's gone now I think I'll be fine but FUCK IT'S BACK it's buzzing at the window and it's driving me nuts and what do I do??? FUCK IT'S RIGHT NEXT TO ME! FLEE! FLEE! FLEE! ABORT!

MELISSOPHOBIA UPDATE: Okay, so the bee was actually just a really big fly, and it seems to no longer be here. I should be alright now, albeit slightly rattled from this hellish experience.

I have spent the last two weeks trying to convince my three-year-old daughter that:
  • Bees will not kill her.
  • Bees prefer to leave her alone.
  • Not all flying insects are bees.
  • Fire ants will not kill her.
  • Fire ants do not live by us.
  • Not all ants are fire ants.
This is getting emotionally draining, and I'm tempted to turn this to my advantage.

"Alice, the bees will leave you alone if you make your bed in the morning and don't complain when asked to put your dishes in the dishwasher."

I don't really see this as less ethical than my wife telling her Santa is real.

I hear therapists calling right now to set up future sessions for when exploiting the kid's fear rather than dispelling it fucks her up later in life. Fear is a much more vicious emotion to utilize against someone than belief is.
