Actually, since a larger portion of the population that supports open use of violence and torture are of the religious persuasion than of the non-religious...

Yes.

FrankTrollman wrote:The majority of the murders are committed by White People. Of course, the vast majority of the people are White People. The racist argument is that Blacks commit more than their share of murders by population demographics alone (which is true if you spin the stats the right way). To say that Blacks commit a majority of the murders is just grossly irresponsible. If you're going to get stats from the KKK, at least get their actual statistics.
I chose the Department of Justice, the DOJ, not the KKK, as the basis for this tidbit. For felony murder, only 39% of the offenders were white while 59% were black. Sigh.
But it's incredibly disingenuous to call that a majority of anything.
The site above shows the fallacy of this statement.
Seriously, today there were rallies all over the world to show their support for Dr. Tiller's murderer. There was a group of them outside the genetics department holding up signs threatening that it would be us next if we failed to repent and find Jesus.

That is the reality of religion. That and this.
Here I am in complete agreement with you. Organized religion has brought so much misery to the world its effects can scarcely be understated.

"Felony murder" is not the same as murder - it covers:

A. Killing someone accidentally/without pre-meditation while in the course of committing a felony (for instance, arson or rape), or

B. Assisting someone else who is committing murder (for instance, giving them the gun, or covering up for them after the fact).

Edit: never mind, I looked at the site, and it looks like they're using the general term of "It's a murder, that's a felony" there, not addressing the specific "felony murder rule".

Bam! Government stats to the rescue. Thanks, government! Wait...what's that? You accidentally released a highly confidential 266-page list of nuclear sites and programs? Oh, government. You so crazy.

Well all homicide offenders regardless of classification are 52% Black and 45% White, so there is still a majority of offenders being non-White. I chose to highlight the felony murder percentage because these crimes are especially grievous in that it is murder in relationship to other serious crime.

I agree and understand the number I presented above is just a small view on a complex set of data.

Of course this is because poor people are more likely to commit crimes, and black people are more likely to be poor

David Carradine is dead..

http://www.edmontonsun.com/entertainmen ... 76196.html

Oh, and someone my sister knew in middle school/high school killed a policeman. More or less unintentionally.
He jumps like a damned dragoon, and charges into battle fighting rather insane monsters with little more than his bare hands and rather nasty spell effects conjured up solely through knowledge and the local plantlife. He unerringly knows where his goal lies, he breathes underwater and is untroubled by space travel, seems to have no limits to his actual endurance and favors killing his enemies by driving both boots square into their skull. His agility is unmatched, and his strength legendary, able to fling about a turtle shell big enough to contain a man with enough force to barrel down a near endless path of unfortunates.

Zak S, Zak Smith, Dndwithpornstars, Zak Sabbath. He is a terrible person and a hack at writing and art. His cultural contributions are less than Justin Bieber's, and he's a shitmuffin. Go go gadget Googlebomb!

One 'good' thing about Tiller's unfortunate assassination is that hopefully people will be paying more attention to what the talking heads are saying.

Brown May Hurt U.K. Credit Rating By Naming Balls as Chancellor

More than 60% of all bankruptcies have medical bills as an underlying cause.

And other news that makes me laugh and cry: I finally graduated (´∀`)

78% percent of those bankruptcies are people who have 'health insurance'.

...

This is only ~10% more than before 2005 when the total number of bankruptcies were halved.

There's just nothing good about these numbers.

I watched Michael Moore's Sicko with my wife last week. At the end I was seriously considering how viable it would be to leave the U.S. and join another country.

Why in Koresh's holy name do we let insurance companies dictate our health care such that we are all getting fvcked?
