and the following information about them:

(H) Indigo Star 3830: Gives the robot 10 Hit Points.

Azure Star 4234: Gives the robot the ability to heal an injured humanoid, restoring them to full health, 3 times during the course of the adventure. Not useful to robots.

Cerulean Star 4325: Gives the robot 10 Hit Points.

Emerald Star 3622: Gives the robot one laser attack per Combat Turn which does 7 damage if it hits.

Jade Star 3825: Creates an energy screen which will reduce each successful attack against your group by 1 point.

Ivory Star 3736: Gives the robot one particle beam attack per Combat Turn which does 9 damage if it hits.

Ebony Star 3437: Gives the robot 13 Hit Points.

Xanthous Star 3531: Energy insulator negates one energy attack against your group each Combat Turn.

Golden Star 3324: Gives the robot the ability to repair a damaged robot, restoring them to full health, 3 times during the course of the adventure.

Platinum Star 3035: Ion Nerve Stimulator: Can be used once during this adventure. Will cause one robot to gain a single extra attack.

(C) Silver Star 2629: Gives the robot 12 Hit Points.

Marine Star 4230: Gives the robot two energy dart attacks per Combat Turn, each of which does 5 damage if they hit.

Amethyst Star 2622: Whenever you move between stars while traveling in Black Hole regions, each member of your team will heal 1 damage.

(C) Lavender Star 3028: Gives the robot one cosmic attack per Combat Turn which does 10 damage if it hits.

Black Hole Star System

Crimson Star 1422: Gives the robot one stunning attack per Combat Turn, which does no damage but causes an enemy to miss their next turn if it hits.

Ruby Star 0329: Gives the robot 12 Hit Points.

Scarlet Star 0929: Solar Emitter halves one physical (non-energy) attack against your group each Combat Turn.

Burgundy Star 1329: Gives the robot one Device Drainer attack per Combat Turn, which does damage equal to half the target robot's current Hit Points if it hits (rounding damage fractions down, so this will never kill a robot with 1 Hit Point).

Wine Star 1729: Gives the robot one Pulsar Nerve Disintegrator attack per Combat Turn, which does damage equal to half the target protein being's current Hit Points if it hits (rounding damage fractions down, so this will never kill someone with 1 Hit Point).

Maroon Star 2029: Gives the robot 12 Hit Points.

Orange Star 1238: One enemy Combat Turn, whichever attack does the smallest amount of damage will be bounced back to the one who inflicted it, once per battle.

If you decide you desperately need to get out of your current situation, you can declare a retreat. This will mean you and all allies dash back to your ship and you explode the engine of one of your three scout ships, destroying that scout ship and sending your ship at great speed to an unknown location.

Your long-range sensors will tell you some information about each star system you can currently reach before you choose which one to go to. Mikael takes the first turn; once he has explored one star system as much as he intends to and chosen a new one to fly to, E-Ben takes his turn, and so on until the game ends.

In combat, your group always acts first unless you fighting Mikael's team, you are ambushed, or there is some other reason you would act second.

You arrive at Lavender Star 3028. The planet where the Ancient Robot part is located is size 3, 5000 to 8000 kilometers, and temperature -1, too cold to be comfortable but not dangerous. Mineral content and accessibility are comparable to Cybos. Your sensors detect signs of a previous civilization but no current life signs, either plant or animal.

Your Disintegration Rays will do 3 damage here. Siss's Laser Blast will do 4 damage. Steeldon's Crushing Arms will do 2 damage. Cordon's Mazon Rays will do 2 damage.

Sensors give you the location of the Ancient Robot part, but you also detect the ruins of a nearby city.

Quickly taking a closer scan of the planet, you note that the high levels of radiation indicate that a nuclear war was fought here.

It might be worthwhile investigating. You might find useful technological information for your Weapons Developers. But you remember your primary mission.

Focus on the Ancient Robot part?
Pause to investigate the ruins?

You have found a part of the Ancient Robot! Unfortunately, it's refusing to cooperate!

To make the Ancient Robot part come with you, you first must fight it. It has 29 Hit Points and does 8 damage per successful Combat Turn.

E-Ben hits once, doing 3 damage; everyone else misses.
E-Ben hits once for 3 damage and Steeldon hits once for 2 damage; everyone else misses.
Siss hits once for 4 damage; everyone else misses.
E-Ben hits once for 3 damage. Steeldon hits twice for a total of 4 damage. Cordon hits for 2 damage. The Ancient Robot part hits for 8 damage.
E-Ben hits twice for a total of 6 damage. Siss misses. Steeldon misses once and hits for double damage, rendering the Ancient Robot part docile.

You now have the Lavender Star Ancient Robot part. Your Ancient Robot has one cosmic attack per Combat Turn which does 10 damage if it hits...but it still cannot fight until it has Hit Points.

Decide who took 8 damage from the Robot Part's hit. Then, you can investigate the ruins, or head for a different system. Your sensors tell you that the Amethyst Star system has a planet similar to Cybos with no offworld communication, the Xanthous Star system has a planet occupied by intelligent but primitive reptilian aliens, and the Silver Star system has a desert planet with ruins and no sign of life, but strange energy readings from the opposite side of the planet from the Ancient Robot part.

Investigate the ruins?
Fly to Amethyst Star 2622?
Travel to Xanthous Star 3531?
Head for Silver Star 2629?

You have your original robot part and the Lavender Star robot part; the Earthers have their original robot part and the Indigo Star robot part. Four robot parts are currently owned.

Sensors indicate the Ancient Robot part is right ahead of you. But you keep getting insistent readings from your data banks, nagging at you to explore the far side of the planet.

Switch off your data banks and continue to the location of the Ancient Robot part?
Check the far side of the planet first?

You have found a part of the Ancient Robot! Your Ancient Robot now has 12 Hit Points, and is able to fight.

From here, you can travel to the Lavender Star or Amber Star system. You have already been to Lavender Star 3028. Amber Star 2733 has several small planets, crowded with intelligent, technologically advanced soft skins.

You have your original robot part, the Lavender Star robot part, and the Silver Star robot part; the Earthers have their original robot part, the Indigo Star robot part, and the Xanthous Star robot part. Six robot parts are currently owned.

As the hatch opens on the Amber Star planet, you find yourself surrounded by soft skins. At first you think you're under attack, then your data banks kick in and inform you that these aliens are known as sales people!

You've landed on a Merchant planet!

Although they don't have an Ancient Robot part, the Merchants assure you that they have other Marvelous Miracles of Technology and Labor Saving Devices--all at bargain prices!

"Free samples! Free samples!" they yell, all vying for your attention.

Unfortunately, you are informed that their traditions dictate that you may only deal with one Merchant Group per visit to the planet.

Deal with the Medical Merchants?
Deal with the Weapons Merchants?
Deal with the Robotic Merchants?
Deal with the Alien Life Form Merchants?
Deal with the Emergency Equipment Merchants?

The Weapons Merchants have an incredible number of weapons on exhibit--everything from laser cannons mounted on space ships to satellites capable of destroying whole planets. You don't really need anything of that magnitude, however, and you ask them to show you their small calibre weapons.

They bring out some prototype models and ask if you would like to test them! You agree, although you're not certain just what each will do. You choose two, promising to send back test results as soon as you've destroyed your enemies.

I choose 4 and 5, since 4 looks like a solid weapon, and 5 can be nice for improving defense.

You have chosen a Metal Disintegrator and a Temperature Shield. The Metal Disintegrator can be used in place of another weapon by any member of your crew. While using it, that robot will have one attack per Combat Turn for 7 damage--but only to a robot opponent. This weapon can fire 9 times and then is out of power.

The Temperature Shield absorbs 2 damage per Combat Turn for your group, but only functions in temperatures of -1 or below.

Thanking the alien Merchants, you blast off from the planet. You have been to Silver Star 2629 and to Lavender Star 3028. Platinum Star 3035 has a heavy jungle with only animal inhabitants on a medium (size 3) cold (temperature -1) planet.

You have your original robot part, the Lavender Star robot part, and the Silver Star robot part; the Earthers have their original robot part, the Indigo Star robot part, the Xanthous Star robot part, and the Golden Star robot part. Seven robot parts are currently owned.

On this planet E-Ben's Disintegration Rays do 3 damage each, Siss's Laser Blast does 5 damage, Steeldon's Crushing Arms do 3 damage each, and Cordon's Mazon Ray does 4 damage.

Sensor readings indicate nothing but plant forms ahead, you should have no trouble finding the Ancient Robot part. Confidently you move forward, but you discover it is becoming more and more difficult to make your way through this jungle. Irritably you slash at the plants blocking your way. To your amazement--the plants slash back! You're being attacked by vegetables!

The Platinum Plants have 30 Hit Points and do 2 damage per hit.

E-Ben hits once; every other attack this turn misses. The plants have 27 hit points.
E-Ben hits and misses, Siss misses, Steeldon hits twice, Cordon misses, the Ancient Robot hits, the plants hit. The plants have 8 hit points.
E-Ben gets a Special result. Strange alien heat waves envelop its group, healing each member for 3 hit points, but preventing any of them from striking this round. The plants hit.
E-Ben hits twice, Siss misses, Steeldon hits and misses, Cordon hits, the plants miss. The plants are dead.

You continue searching for the Robot part. Unfortunately, your sensors detect an unusually high concentration of protein life heading your way.

The Xanthous Star system has a planet occupied by intelligent but primitive reptilian aliens. The Amber Star system you've been to. Your sensors pick up a Black Hole and no planets at Ebony Star 3437.

Ignore sensor readings and keep searching for the Robot part here?
Go to the Xanthous Star 3531 system?
Go to the Amber Star 2733 system?

You do have the Silver Star robot part, oops! I mislisted owned robot parts there. You did have the effect of the Silver Star robot part though, as the Ancient Robot was able to participate in the fight.

You're within a mile of the part's location when you're attacked by a Winged Cat!

The Winged Cat has 25 Hit Points and does 3 damage per hit.

E-Ben hits once and misses once. Siss hits. Steeldon misses once and hits once. Cordon misses. The Ancient Robot hits. The Winged Cat hits for double damage. The Winged Cat has 4 Hit Points.
E-Ben misses twice. Siss misses. Steeldon misses twice. Cordon hits for double damage, ending the fight.

You've come to the area where your sensors indicate the Robot Part should be located, but you can't find it, and your sensors flash danger as several massive reptiles prepare to attack you! To your horror, you find your weapons are drained! You have no choice but to leave this planet without the Robot part.

Go to the Ebony Star 3437 system?

Also, please indicate who took 2 damage from the plant fight (post-healing) and 6 damage from the Winged Cat.

Aaaargh. Did the failure to find the part event come up due to a random die roll? If so, then I would like to search once again. If not, then I will go to the Ebony Star 3437 system.

And I will have all damage go to E-Ben.

There was no die roll. To the best of what E-Ben's player could currently know anyway, it seems to be impossible for E-Ben to ever get the Platinum Star robot part.

You have your original robot part, the Lavender Star robot part, and the Silver Star robot part; the Earthers have their original robot part, the Indigo Star robot part, the Xanthous Star robot part, the Golden Star robot part, and the Orange Star robot part. Eight robot parts are currently owned.

In the Ebony Star system, you see that you're in a great deal of danger! The star that was once here has collapsed, and there is only a Black Hole, with metal spheres floating in space near it!

You sense a powerful energy signature from one of those spheres--likely the Ancient Robot part! The question is, is it worth the risk of flying closer to the Black Hole to pick it up?

Your sensors detect a race of soft skins living in very primitive conditions on a huge (size 5) cold (temperature -1) planet at Ivory Star 3736. You have been to Platinum Star 3035.

Try to get the Ancient Robot part here?
Fly to Platinum Star 3035?

As Mikael's opposing player, rather than as E-Ben, you are playing the role of an Ancient Robot part in a deadly game.
1234
A
B
C
D

Mikael is attempting to move from the north side of the checkerboard to the south side. The Ancient Robot part will try to guess, without looking, where he's standing, and will blast where it thinks he is. In Round One, he chooses to start in square A1, A2, A3, or A4. The Ancient Robot part (played by you) picks a square to shoot, and then looks to see where Mikael actually was.

In Round Two, Mikael can move to a square in the second row, but only one he can move to physically without leaving the checkerboard or crossing another square. So if he was in A2, he can move to B1, B2, or B3, but not B4. You again shoot one of the squares, and then look to see where he was.

This continues for Round Three and Round Four. Each time you hit, Mikael or one of his disgusting soft skin allies takes 10 damage. After Round Four, he will leave the checkerboard and the game will be over.

Which square will you blast first?

You float forward and grab the hunk of metal with your ship's grappling arms. Then you try to pull back, but you are caught in the Black Hole's gravity well and inexorably pulled in.

You have entered an alternate universe! Your sensors pick up readings from a huge star and also from several other star systems. You have no idea how to get back. Hopefully you can discover a way or you are trapped here forever!

But in any event, you have the Ebony Star Ancient Robot part. Your Ancient Robot has one attack for 10 cosmic damage and has 25 Hit Points.

(And now you wait for Mikael to finish his turn.)

You blast square A3. Mikael was on square A4.

Which square will you target next (in the second row)?
