Re: Bhutto has just been assassinated.
Honestly, it would surprise me not at all if Mushariff was behind this - Bhutto was a media darling and still very popular in Pakistan, not to mention the biggest threat to him winning the elections he is supposedly having in January. [br][br]Don't get me wrong, Bhutto was not a nice person - but sh...

Re: Complete Scoundrel's Grey Guard
I feel compelled to point out that although I agree with your thought there, Bleach, under the current D&D rules it's very difficult to one-shot anyone with raw damage unless there is a significant level or optimization discrepancy. In particular, with sneak attack damage being pitiful and limit...

What? WotC is making an edition of D&D that sucks and seems more suited to CRPGS? Gosh! I'm shocked!

Re: Helping Count Get Girls
Well, I can't answer that question as I'm not him, but my take on it is thus: It's a lot more energy-efficient for evolution to have a separate mental switch for how one regards oneself, gender-wise, than it is for it to constantly be going "do I have a penis? Yup.". There's very little re...

I've never played or read Shadowrun, but this thread is nifty enough it makes me wonder if I'm missing out.

Re: Being Good in D&D: this one's for you, K and Frank
From page 1: "because roleplaying evil is a hard thing to do"[br][br]Okay, I have to disagree with this. Roleplaying evil is MUCH easier than roleplaying good in the D&D system, simply because under the D&D alignment rules THERE ARE NO SHADES OF GREY. Well, I guess there are in the...

They are indeed Edisons of the Coast in the sense that they torture puppies and kittens.

It's confirmed. There's an admin-only forum being set up for 4e on the WotC boards right now, it was briefly accessible to the public.

[br]Is it just me, or the fact that the two players who almost always play full casters are the ones most experienced with the system, moreso than I am, say something? Is it that magic can pretty much do anything and replace noncasters at higher levels, appeal to players who do not want to be serio...

Actually, I gotta amend my post to say:
When they issued errata for Complete Warrior making Invisible Blade useless and doing NOTHING to Hulking Hurler.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to go with the cancellation of Dragon and Dungeon. [br][br]You know what they say. Wizards of the Coast: Taking the Dungeon and Dragon out of Dungeons and Dragons.[br][br]I've been pretty fed up with Skip's ever-changing polymorph raping too. Seriously, we know polymorph is brok...

Re: If I was going to make fun of DnD
Interestingly, if you look at the wealth-by-level charts, it seems they use different formulas for level 1-10, 11-20, 21-30, etc. It's been a while since I figured them out, but I want to say it alternates between geometric and a power curve.
