That doesn't seem that bad, to me. Mind you, I wasn't sure whether it was a ban or what (it transpires that it was).

Thread of weirdness . Locked now, but short anyhow. God ICE admins are serious wusses if that was offensive. And what were they going on about that chick being gorgeous, wouldn't kick her out of bed sure, but gorgeous? Roy I believe it is Phailzo I think that he didn't want a 50-post debate on unde...

Firms are always cagey about those sales figures, though, as they are commercially sensitive. I personally have no fucking idea how it's selling (or how other games are selling, for that matter).

You get a communication saying you're banned, P_R?

I am not sure why they put Joshua Frost into the moderation frontline. He might be a decent bloke, but he doesn't seem to have a fine touch as a moderator.

I see. So now your ranks are 1 for 1 each level. .... meaning that organic characters that spread out a few of their points into knowledge, profession, language or perform skills get the shaft. Way to fuck over people that pick up mechanical things for role-play reasons. The double costing for non-...

The only change is that a Human Rogue 3 can enter Shadowdancer at lvl 4. 5 ranks takes five levels, now. Rank max is now HD and you get a +3 bonus to the skill modifier if the skill is a class skill for any of your classes. Getting into pre-published 3.5 PrCs has a different criteria (which is in t...

You can define alcoholic how you like, I guess, but if AA are saying 'drunk more than three times a month=alcoholic' for some relatively moderate version of what 'drunk' means and then also claiming that an alcoholic is an alcoholic forever, I am not convinced that makes a great deal of sense. I hon...

Big real ale fan, myself. Praise the Lord, I can get bottled Fuller's ESB again (and a place in town does a keg version of ESB, which is OK considering that the only place in the US I found that served it cask-conditioned stopped selling it a few years ago).

Smug What you just described doesn't deserve its own publication run, it deserves to be post in some wiki for house rules. Seriously. So little what they've done has been anything even touching on innovative that it is an insult to everyone whose been playing this game that they are trying to publi...

Well, given the aim to make it at least moderately easy to interchange 3.5 and PFRPG, I doubt that it was ever going to end up different enough for people that really wanted some of 3.5's fundamental flaws fixed. I don't know why you'd feel anything close to 'rage' about it, though; it's a 3.5-style...

That's where I'm at, currently. We'll see how things feat-related change -- that could be a big difference -- but I liked 3.5 already and I like Pathfinder more, so far.

It was the beta...even WOTC didn't pull that kind of shit off I know that, I own it. Here is another thing, they have made many conflicting/ contradictory statements regarding the game. Weakening the rogue for some reason even though JB said that "no one took more than two level of rogue"...

It's not earlyish days yet. They were supposed to have a working model of how things worked out by GenCon. They sold a hardback book . The gate is open, the cows have left, and frankly they've had time to die of thirst. -Username17 Not that it's important, but it was a softback (the campaign guide ...

Insistence on actual playtesting + the way Paizonians typically playtest = even bigger disaster than expected. I don't think that it's all bad. Their main problem is that they're getting a lot more of the theoretical stuff (which I probably prefer) and less of the actual playtest stuff they want to...

I was discussing bard changes and I got really smart-assy at the end--Joshie boy had described my post as "snarky," so I ever-so-sweetly requested that he not make values-statements about my posts, since it wasn't conducive to discussion. It was up for a day or two. Today, I find I'm bann...
