Master Lich is probably the best choice for Ermor - as he's immortal and can easily be a rainbow mage (expanding Ermor's poor magical diversity) with Ermor's typical scales.

Just have 4 or 5 Death and 2 or 3 in all other magic paths (blood included). And Ermor can resolve a lot of possible late-game issues,

True. But it's a 15-20 province per player map, so early aggression should be more muted.

The huge map size was actually another reason why I decided that my initial pick of Ermor was a bit rash and may drive me insane from micro :D.

OTOH, in retrospect Man isn't the best nation for a big map. Ulm maybe a better choice with its crazy blood economy shenanigans in LA.

Yeah, I'll probably stick with Patala but that makes Atlantis pretty fucking sweet.

Patch 3.26 was released. I assumed that we would be using it.

I vote Korwin picks his nations, then randomises who gets what. Lets get this baby on the road :-)

Happy with whatever patch level people want.

Here are the 200 p. maps
http://www.dom3minions.com/RandomMaps/s/

The third in the first row looks good to me.
But its hard to tell how many water provinces there are.

Doesnt matter at the moment, It makes sense to sort out the nations first.

My picks are
Atlantis
Mictlan
Midgard

I'll update the first post when I get home.
If someone want in, its still possible!

If one of the other players could

Stupid iPhone...

If one of the other players could toss an dice or coin to determine who gets Atlantis.
For a coin I would take the Head, for dice an even number.

Akula lost the dice throw, which is a problem since Akulas second and third choices are allready somebodies first choices.

Akula do you have a fourth choice?

First post updated btw. green are your nations.

For late comers, if you want you can still join the game. Just take an nation not allready picked.

Edit: If someone wants to downgrade from his nation to an second, third or fifth choice I would have no problem with it...

I like the first map listed.

Maybe Akula needs to dice off with Gnost. for Marignon? It's effectively his first choice now since he can't have his original first choice.

I think the first one is the best, because it has multiple splotches of water. The 'one big ocean' maps have a lot of oppotunity to be VERY swingy, depending if Altantis starts near, or a million miles away from water.

The same number of puddles but distributed a bit more evenly over the map (the right side there is pretty sketchy) would also work.

http://dom3.servegame.com/wiki/Greece_Stain

could work as well.

In order of preference, from the maps presented, I like:
  • Greece Stain
    The first map
    The third map

Huh. I thought LA Atlantis always starts next to a sea province, since their site is "The Coast of Ice and Bones" and all, but I haven't checked the database to be sure.

That said, Greece Stain and the first, second, and fourth random maps all look good.

Does it? Then that makes the first map even better. I also like the greek stain.

Atlantis starts on land, but I'm not sure if they always start near water.

Hmm. Well, if there's Atlantis but no R'lyeh then I guess Atlantis alongside Ermor are currently the threats to world peace :D.

I think they do in the absence of fixed starts.

Anyway, I don't really want to play any of the unclaimed nations. And I have found out (and not through direct contact) that someone in this game is using my CD key, so I might not even get to take a turn. So I am withdrawing my interest. I hope that the game goes well for the participants.
