A guy I used to game with. I couldn't tell you which part of that is true and which is bullshit other than he did come from money. But it's entertaining bullshit, and in the end isn't that the real truth?violence in the media wrote:So, who was this guy?Count Arioch the 28th wrote:I knew a guy whose family owned 10% of the coal in the world, and he said that his parents owned mines in the middle of the Australian wasteland, so deep in the interior that even the natives didn't live there. He said they had to build housing in the mines, and on some days the air was so hot and dry you literally had to wear masks designed to add some humidity to the air if you stepped out of the mine for any reason. He then said if I wanted to be a coal miner he could get me set up with a job there. I politely declined.

In this moment, I am Ur-phoric. Not because of any phony god’s blessing. But because, I am enlightened by my int score.

For some reason, this makes me think of Warhammer 40k.
Cuz apparently I gotta break this down for you dense motherfuckers- I'm trans feminine nonbinary. My pronouns are they/them.

And that is why refluffing has limits.

I know Koumei (and probably a couple of other peeps, but especially Koumei) will love this, and it's not so much an image macro as it is a series of some of the coolest ideas I've seen in a while. My sister (a huge Sailor Moon fan) sent this to me, and I just had to pass it along. This is seriously epic.

Having someone in my life willing to do something crazy like that and allow me input in the brainstorming part would definitely make me care about a wedding.

Having someone in my life with a year's salary to blow on one party would make me pretend to care about a lot.and the only things I really liked were about $30,000 (HAHA WHAT). So, instead of throwing away my entire wedding budget on that

"But transportation issues are social-justice issues. The toll of bad transit policies and worse infrastructure—trains and buses that don’t run well and badly serve low-income neighborhoods, vehicular traffic that pollutes the environment and endangers the lives of cyclists and pedestrians—is borne disproportionately by black and brown communities."
I'd pretend to care for way less than 30k.Josh_Kablack wrote:Having someone in my life with a year's salary to blow on one party would make me pretend to care about a lot.and the only things I really liked were about $30,000 (HAHA WHAT). So, instead of throwing away my entire wedding budget on that

Technically, it wasn't just because Prometheus stole fire. He also tricked Zeus into eternally accepting inedible animal parts as sacrifices, and, according to some myths, taught humans astronomy and explained the cause of lightnings, directly reducing Zeus's power.Darth Rabbitt wrote:

the old saying still applies to that one.

Peculiar properties of spacetime ensure that the perception of the magnitude of Soon is fluid and dependent, not on an individual's time-reference, but on spatial and cultural location. A marketer generally perceives Soon as a finite, known, yet unspeakable time-interval; to a fan, the interval appears greater, and may in fact approach the infinite, becoming Never. Once the interval has passed, however, a certain time-lensing effect seems to occur, and the time-interval becomes vanishingly small. We therefore see the strange result that the same fragment of spacetime may be observed, in quick succession, as Soon, Never, and All Too Quickly.
