It was a drain system, which better emulated the series. It did have some problems though.sigma999 wrote:I've skimmed it. Didn't like it. They did some weird stuff with the magic system.Leress wrote: I own that book: Slayer d20.
Has there ever been a good anime RPG?

Just a heads up... Your post is pregnant... When you miss that many periods it's just a given.

Given how both JRPGs and shonen anime share the traits of zero-to-hero, western, and contrived plot devices so the plucky band of unlikely zeroes are the only ones who can save the world, I'd say any d&d edition or heartbreaker will cut it for shonen anime just fine.
Now sure, Japan has its own systems, but Japan's Game Design school as pertaining to tabletop RPGs is about 30 years behind ours, so I don't recommend it because there's little the eighties can teach us by now.

If you are actually looking for good anime characters, then I will suggest you to watch best mecha anime movies. I am sure all of you will like it. My eight year old son is completely mad about them and watch it infinite times!

Based on memories and general impressions from years ago I have absolutely nothing against BESM: disclaimer, I was far less critical of game design in general when I played it. I was still years off from discovering the Den.
For a minute, I used to be "a guy" in the TTRPG "industry". Now I'm just a nobody. For the most part, it's a relief.
