I find it hilarious that I libeled a wizo, and have made life a living hell for the mods, and I got banned for vulgarity and masked vulgarity... you know, "fvck," "bullsh!t," "p!ssy" etc...


you know, come to think of it, that last one might have been the straw that broke the camel's back as it could be read "pussy" rather than "pissy"...

The mature boards will not be long on Gleemax. The WizOs have decreed that images from that most vile and pornographic of companies, Wizards of the Coast violate the CoC and cannot be used in the Mature boards. Yes I kid you not, if you use some images found on their own web pages you will have your post deleted. Even links are verbotten.

Honestly the no nudity thing is the most stupidest thing I've seen ever in my entire life. If I were really into the mature boards (which I am not) I probably would have made a serious effort to create an adult role playing group at Gather and move the party over there where people can discuss mature things like adults. As almost all the posters on Gleemax are utter morons, it's not worth the effort.

The only purpose of the mature boards is to discuss the BoVD and BoED. Most of the topics on the BoVD/BoED violate the vanillia CoC and therefore cannot be discussed. (Because apparently even an 18 or older forum has to be more G than G as per the CoC.) It seems clear that these books will not be migrated into 4E and once we have 4E the forum will die the death it deserves.

Speaking of masked wearing, in an online game I'm playing, their chat filters are extremly stupid. 'Pee' is filtered out, so if you're looking for +speed stuff, you're actually looking for +s***d stuff. Interesting to note, Urinate and Urine are not filtered. I guess they didn't go with the rule that if it's good enough for 3 year olds, it's good enough for the game. 'Ass' is also filtered, so I hope you don't have to ask about "p***es" to various places. Other, odd things are filtered. Wu Tang is the name of one group, but Wu-Tang is filtered (only with the dash). It also censors FK (I guess as an abbreviation of Fuck -- but it makes saying that you were AFK kinda difficult), and Twink is a bad word. Given the relativly few restrictions on passive equipment (i.e. not a weapon), I can see why. If you had a few million in-game monnies, you could easily dominate the lower levels, simply because your equipment grants so many bonuses, you're effectivly 10 levels higher than you actually are, and at level 3, that's a huge deal (less so at level 60).

What kind of genious makes a chat filter that filters out, in part or in whole, the names of equipment and abilities in the game? That's just stupid.

It's "a bundle of sticks". Which is also why the term is so offensive. It means that throwing a gay person in to a fire to burn is normal. The term comes from when burning homosexuals alive was okay, so that it's censored is neither surprising nor oppresively unrealistic.
