Vaguely related, I wonder if Facebook is doing some similar sort of tracking thing now.
I mean, I was wandering around Facebook today and I saw Frank under 'suggested people to friend' (or whatever it's called). I thought this was awfully weird because I don't have any of his friends friended (I don't even know them), and as far as I know I've never done or said anything even vaguely related to him on Facebook. What the hell?
Maybe it's time to get rid of the thing.

I think they also use e-mail contact lists to get suggestions. At least, I once got one of my professors as a suggested friend; and this was back when I had only two Facebook friends, none from the college, and the only contact that Facebook would have known about would have been e-mails related to class.
