Before resting, Lucas calls upon the power of Ukko and Akka, the great god and goddess, to heal his compatriots. (casting Cure Light Wounds twice, on whomever is still injured). He also prays to Loviatar, god of disease, to spare Dorgan from the ravages of his infliction, but he lacks the spiritual strength to put any true magic into his plea.

Through the night Atani crafts a couple items. He pours oil into the scabbard of Sir Spastis' sword, testing the amount he needs to get the oil to sit around the blade but avoid spillage. He also runs a piece of cloth into another one of his oil flasks allowing him to light and throw it if meeting an opponent only vulnerable to fire.

The next day Atani heads back down to the room the party abandoned. He'll look in, knock the door down with his ball, test the floors, then enter the room and investigate though his primary job once testing is complete will be to prepare to shoot down the hall the undead fled through.

Atani is back up to full hit points. (I don't think anyone else was injured.) The Finnish gods do not seem to be in the mood for miracles, however, and Dorgan remains afflicted.

(Did we manage to get that statue up?)

The workmen manage to extricate it from the tomb's vestibule, yes. Bitching and moaning all the while.

In the morning, Flintbeard awakes to find a duckbunny has been caught in his snare.

Without killing the duckbunny, Flintbeard binds the duckbunny's legs and bill and stuffs it in his waistsack with the head sticking out.

If there are no changes in the intervening rooms, he will lead the others to the broken door and the skeletons.

Gilles prays to the Sea Mother to have a means of protection against the undead in his way (hide from undead), enhanced healing abilities to keep everyone alive (cure light wounds,) and aid in finding magical items and traps (detect magic), before entering his trance (since he's a Drow). Upon waking he will follow Atani and Lucas to the room with the skeletons.

Flintbeard moves in with shield and torch in hand.

If there are no enemies and Atani gives the wrecking ball treatment, Flintbeard will move move in to make history/stonework/trap/listening/tracking checks.

Through the broken door, Atani can see the room is perhaps fifteen feet square - though much of this is taken up by a large table of stone in the center of the room, and various shelves and cabinets stocked with bottles and the like on the walls. The floor slips down at the center into a wide iron drain. On the east and west walls are four niches carved into the walls, only one of which is occupied.

Atani cannot see the skeleton as he turns his body to enter through the broken door - then feels bony hands grab his arms and pull him off the ground! Look around himself, he sees two skeletons, dressed in faded robes, clinging to the ceiling like spiders, holding him aloft between them. Ahead of him, sees a third skeleton rise up from behind the table, wielding a rusty scalpel...

Flintbeard, standing behind Atani, can see nothing except his ass and dangling legs.

(Can Gilles see what's going on with Atani? He's presumably standing behind Flintbeard, and is probably a bit taller.)

(So what kind of wrestling rules are being used here. Do I get an initial attack a la the PHB wrestling? Is it a pull/trip from Complete Fighter so I should try to escape with dex checks? Whatever kind of rules are operating on me would change what I do. Obviously I fight so either try to escape the grapple or attack back. It would seem easy to slash someone holding me directly above me but the rules may say otherwise.

Also recall when the Skeletons were clawing through the door. If Atani remembers the hands being upside down, as if from the roof, he will shout "Skeletons, the floor is likely trapped!" and if they were faced down as if the skeleton was standing on the floor he will shout "Skeletons on the roof! Come kill them with me!")

You were surprised (surprise!), and have been overborn (see:overbearing, except the skeletons are clinging to the ceiling so instead of being pulled down, you have been pulled up) - they're not trying to harm him, only to pin him down (presumably so the approaching skeleton can do some harm). Atani realizes that skeletons are normally mindless and that this sort of combat sophistry is very unusual.

Alright well then as Atani is not yet restrained in any way he will attack his holder twice targetting one skeleton with both longsword attacks and shouting to his companions

While Atani's feet and legs dangle off the ground, he struggles against the skeletons but is unable to really strike them from this position. The third skeleton draws up directly in front of Atani (Flintbeard can see the figure past Atain's flailing legs), and begins using the scalpel to cut away the straps of Atani's armor.

The skeletons immediately drop Atani (no damage), and retreat to the far side of the room.

Dorgan, witnessing the scene, says "Good job, Xaxus. I think we need to find who commands, or rather", he grins, "used to command these mindless undead. Then we can give him a piece of our mind."

"Speaking of those skeletons," he addresses Xaxus, " do you mind if we reduce them to small bits of bone? We wouldn't want them to turn on us when your spell runs out. Or do you have some other plan in mind?"

He enters the room warily, looking around. If no immediate danger is detected, he will spend one round searching for hidden doors.

Dorgan finds no hidden doors, but hears a splashing from below - coming from the vicinity of the large drain set in the floor.

Gilles nods in turn with Dorgan's question before turning to face Xaxus. "If these skeletons don't stay under your control, we should dispose of them now before they turn on us." He then turns to face the skeletons for a moment, gripping the hilt of his magic shortsword. If Xaxus recommends it, Gilles will attack the cowering skeletons.

After that, Gilles will wait for Atani and Flintbeard to do their own searches of the new room (if either or both intends to) and then scans the new room with infravision, checks for traps if he doesn't detect anything with his infravision, and then (if he finds no traps) searches for secret doors (as he, too, is an Elf.) If he sees anything that could be an item of significance he will make Religion and Spellcraft checks on it.

Flintbeard will help beat on the cowering skeletons with his torch, though he'll switch to axe if they appear to be vulnerable to mundane weapons.

Afterwards Flintbeard makes his trap/stonework/history/listen/hidden doors checks.
