The way it looks now, it still has the same problems as Mystic Theurge and Eldritch Knight, where you are at, one point or another, a fighter 1/wizard 5 or cleric 3/wizard3, and you suck. You also easily end up with excessive caster levels. Your example Fighter/Sorc could just start adding free Wiza...

Hey there all, It seems that every time we have a playtest there needs to be a lengthy and largely pointless thread performing hypothetical comparisons of the class to other classes (who have different goals and talents) or to single monsters without group support (which is not how the game itself ...

More than simply a conceptual model, planar theory separates Golarion’s planes into two distinct regions: the Inner and Outer Spheres. The planes of the Outer Sphere rest upon the inner surface of a great, hollow sphere, with the planes of the Inner Sphere nestled at the sphere’s core, separated by...

For me, The Den was the place to go for political commentary by sane people. It will be sad to see politics banned forever. This. I had thought debate, political or otherwise, to be the raison d'être of this board; that the Gaming Den was founded as a sanctuary for free speech -and so it seems that...

That... is not exactly what I would call progressive at all. Well, maybe it's just me then. I don't read a whole lot of fantasy, so I'm pleasantly surprised when what I do read doesn't turn out crazy like Sword of Truth or LoTR. Or Harry Potter for that matter. What specifically pissed you off? EDI...

The best argument for an ebook reader is IMHO for hard cases like me: I dont need the huge space for physical books... B-but it makes you look smart! Chicks dig guys with huge racks! [hr] Anyway, I just had a long holliday, which gave me time for some good, old fashioned book reading. I read Pygmy ...

So your against fluff? If the fluff makes various options more interesting for players, and they therefore use more of the different options available to them, thats a net win, even if they don't understand the mechanical reasons behind it. He's not Against Fluff , he's For Options . If you have Au...

@Zinegata: Someone shouldn't have to play the fighter in order for the group to function on a basic level. If everyone wants to play casters, then that should totally be an option. Role protection is okay, but role reqirements are ass. This isn't WoW where you have millions of people to play with; w...

Lava Effects [snip] Weird rule, but whatever. As I recall, the intent is that any amount of energy resistance makes you immune to mundane damage of that sort. So Resist Fire 5 makes you immune to lava and torches etc. but not fireballs and dragon breath; and similarly, Resist Cold 5 makes you immun...

Presumably nobody got the girl in the Greek Epics, because women only appeared in the form of hideous monsters (note: nobody loses to a Medusa, you have to stare at her face . Ugly face, regular (uncovered) boobs.) and well, Ancient Greece, you know. Well, if anyone in the greek epics is a rogue, i...

As usual, the Paizo boards are like watching slaves in a derp mine. I'm not saying this is trivial to do, but do you know any way in which you can get 20 extra known spells? Play a Wizard? It's really quite sad. Buhlman finally has a flash of inspiration, and then all the paizils immidiately go apes...
